....Did you know?....

If you want to operate a food business that sells more than just prepackaged goods (i.e. hot dogs, scooped ice cream, coffee, gyros), just a few of the requirements are:

-Take the Food Manager Certification Course (and pass the exam!)
-Have a three-compartmented sink and a separate handwashing sink within your food truck (and with our ice cream push cart, too!)
-Registrations/Permits include: Fictitious business name (DBA), registered with the state of Florida, incorporated, obtain sales and tax registration and business licenses in each city you plan on operating in – just to name a few.
-Obtain a commissary (a separate place zoned the same as a restaurant, and can’t be a church or your own place) that you can store your food and supplies and dispose of wastewater. Then set up an appointment to have it inspected by the DPBR.
-Turn in a floor plan of your mobile food van/cart to the DPBR.

Here's a video of the sink Gadabeans will be using on the beach with the pushcart and inside the van. A really neat water system that any mobile food business owner can appreciate.

Gadabeans has been on it's last step to getting up and running for quite some time. We've talked it over with our angel investors and they came up with the bright idea to start a blog or vlog. And we agree. It might be advantageous to show all the loops a small business has to jump through to get up and running; so that when we are finally up and running, you all can appreciate the business the same way we do. Expect to see a lot more posts and/or videos on our adventures in the near future.

Gadabeans' proposal for additional funding has been approved on Kickstarter! This funding will help get Gadabeans that last bit of equipment it needs to be up and running. However, we have to think of unique incentives to give to the financial backers for Gadabeans. Any ideas?
