Travel + Leisure contributor Katie Lockhart (Find Your Happy Plate) takes readers inside Anantara’s just-opened luxury safari camp in Zambia’s spectacular Kafue National Park—where river safaris, wildlife encounters and elevated tented luxury meet one of Africa’s great wildernesses.

Katie writes, "My Pool Villa was stocked with all the comforts I could need...Thoughtful touches were everywhere, like the Polaroid-style camera I took on game drives, binoculars for viewing elephants as they crossed the river, and natural mosquito repellent and lotion placed next to my bed."

Slovenia for summer '27? AFAR's Hannah Walhout scouts out the region, including a visit to Hotel Palace Portorož. Of the upcoming Minor Reserve Collection property, she writes, "Built during the Austro-Hungarian period, Slovenia's Hotel Palace Portorož will be renovated this winter and reopen as part of the Minor Reserve Collection... (it is) one of Slovenia’s grandest properties, which opened in 1910 when the town of Portorož was a glamorous seaside “health resort” for the Austro-Hungarian Empire."

To mark the milestone of Anantara’s 25th anniversary, Anantara Hotels & Resorts is rolling out immersive culinary experiences across Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam because there's no better way to explore a culture than through its food.

Highlights include hands-on spice grinding and slow-cooked curries at Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort, a market-to-table cooking class with the executive chef at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel, and a countryside tour at Anantara Quy Nhon Villas where guests learn traditional rice paper making and craft their own cocktails. More culinary opportunities await aboard The Vietage by Anantara and Anantara Hoi An Resort.
