We often have problems with delrin instruments yeeting their tenon corks, and we have lots of these in our rental pool!

Our solution has been to make the cork trough a little deeper on the lathe then wrap it with cotton thread. We then seal the thread with super glue, and the new tenon cork glues much better to the new surface. It takes a half hour per cork but it's worth it!

Creative help needed! I'd love to put a sticker over the OCB rolling papers jacket that is cute and puts less stigma on young kids carrying cig paper for their instruments.

I'd like to come up with a cute acrostic using the letters OCB.

My best idea so far is "Oboes Can Bubble" but I bet you can do better! Bonus points if you come up with a cute design as well.

If we use your acrostic we will send you a basket with our house made products, including our own Cork Grease, Gel Humidifiers, a Reed Log (version 2 is on the presses right now), and a Thread Advent Calendar!

Less than one week until our Grand Opening with the Howarth company! We would love to see you, show you our beautiful new store, and share some refreshments. We will be joined by our friends at Howarth, who are bringing an excellent selection of instruments.

Saturday's master class is full for both participants and observers, but we would still love you to stop by to join us in the celebration.

Sunday we will have a lecture by our own Kyle Glasgow about College Audition Prep and Ex*****on. He would love to share his knowledge with you!

Linus asked me to tell you that he will be home sleeping on the couch for this celebration but will likely be in attendance for your next session at the Workshop.

New machine day today! The delivery guy didn’t have what he needed to bring in the building (even though I paid extra $$$ for the interior office delivery) but some very strong and capable local movers came to the rescue. This is the photo of us when we didn’t know how we would get them off the sidewalk, then another after they were brought in. Can’t wait to play with these.

My workshop reeks of Corrosion Cracker and defeat tonight. After many hours of freeing up rusted rods on a very funky Fox bassoon there is one that just WILL NOT let loose. Time to give it a rest and pour a scotch. Better luck tomorrow.
