Tonight, I stood in front of Nampa City Council and spoke up for an industry that means a whole lot more than just food trucks.
I shared that The Perking Spot alone expects to put $750,000 back into Nampa’s local economy this year.
We’re not asking for no rules.
We’re asking for reasonable rules and a path to compliance.
We raised two major concerns with the proposed changes: the 9 a.m. start time and the overnight parking restrictions—including a proposed Food Truck Court solution that doesn’t currently exist in Nampa.
But more than anything, our ask tonight was simple:
Pause the vote. Bring us back to the table.
We are not at war with brick-and-mortar businesses.
We are not at war with the City.
We live here. We employ people here. We spend our money here. We serve this community. And we want to be part of finding a solution that works for everyone.
In 2024, we were told:
“We’ll get it right; we just need your help.”
Two and a half years later, we’re still here.
And we’re still willing to help. 🤎
Thank you to every single person who has reached out, shared, emailed, showed up, or simply reminded us that what we’ve built here matters. This is bigger than coffee.
Stay tuned for continued updates regarding interactions between us and the council.
