Banned books matter. ❤️🗝️

Our Banned Book Club is for rebels, thinkers, and defenders of the written word. Since it’s inception, our club has read over 18 banned or challenged books, followed by a thoughtful and engaging discussion about the books they tried to silence.

In honor of Banned Books Week, we asked our Banned Book Club members for their most impactful reads – here are their top five.

📕 The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood

📕 The Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler

📕 The Color Purple by Alice Walker

📕 Normal People by Sally Rooney

📕 1984 by George Orwell

Which one are you reading first?

“The Archive is a love letter to quiet rebellion. Protest doesn’t have to be shouting in the street. It can be placing a story on your shelf that someone else tried to silence.”

Welcome to Banned Books Week. In celebration of the written word, we’re offering 10% off all banned books and banned book merchandise in-store.

Be sure to join us on Wednesday, October 7th for Banned Book Bedazzling–because banned books deserve to shine brighter than ever.

We’re heading back to Basgiath. 🖤

In honor of the release of Threshing Day tomorrow, we’re sharing a few of our favorite quotes from Fourth Wing, Iron Flame and Onyx Storm that we can’t stop thinking about. There MAY even be a new quote from Threshing Day thrown in 👀

What’s your favorite quote from the Empyrean series?

We didn’t plan for our fall drinks to sound a little unhinged but sometimes it just happens…😏

And yes, if you order six shots of espresso, you will get a free hug because you probably need it.

Love this sweatshirt? You’re in luck! We just got a shipment of them in store, so grab yours before they sell out ❤️🗝️
