To our amazing community,

For the past 16 years, this building has been home to so many memories, first as The Watering Trough, and then as Amato’s Woodfire Pizza.

We are beyond grateful for every single one of you who walked through our doors, shared a meal, celebrated milestones, and supported us over the years. What started as a local spot grew into something so much more because of the people who made it special, YOU!

Being a part of this community has meant everything to us. The friendships, the laughter, the familiar faces… those are the things we’ll carry with us forever.

Thank you for allowing us to serve you, grow with you, and be a small part of your lives for the last 16 years. We also wanna thank all of our employees starting from the watering trough to Amato‘s for helping us all these years to be successful. We couldn’t have done it without all of them . It’s truly been an unforgettable journey.

As we close this chapter, we’re excited for you all to experience what’s next.

We have some exciting news to share, this will be our final week at Amato’s Woodfire Pizza in Mount Joy ❤️

This journey has been nothing short of incredible, and it’s all because of you. From the very first pizza we fired up to all the familiar faces we’ve come to know and love, you made this place feel like so much more than just a restaurant, you made it feel like home.

We’re so proud of what we’ve built here and beyond grateful for every single one of you who supported us, shared a meal with us, and became part of our story.

Let’s make this last week one to remember. Stop in, enjoy your favorites, and celebrate with us one more time.

I stopped into Amici Pizza in Mechanicsburg and tried their Million Dollar Cheesesteak, and it absolutely lived up to the name. The sandwich comes loaded with perfectly shaved ribeye, gooey Cooper Sharp cheddar, and fried onions on a warm semolina toasted roll. Every bite had that perfect balance of rich, cheesy, and savory flavor.

I paired it with their bacon cheddar fries, which are fried in beef tallow, and honestly, they might be the best fries I’ve had in a long time—crispy, smoky, and packed with flavor.

If you’re in the area and want a serious upgrade from your typical cheesesteak, this is the spot. Definitely worth the trip.
