Just a friendly reminder that we make burgers.

That’s pretty much it.

We buy beef.

We grind beef.

We smash beef.

We put cheese on beef.

We put beef on a bun.

Then we give it to you.

Every once in a while, I find myself thinking about Two Farmers and what this place really means to me.

It’s easy to look at a restaurant from the outside and see burgers, fries, ice cream, a drive-thru window, a line of people, and a bunch of employees running around trying to keep up.

But for me, it has always been so much more than that.

Two Farmers is something I have poured an absolutely ridiculous amount of my heart into.

I care about the burgers.

I care about the fries.

I care about the way the bun is toasted.

I care about whether the cheese is melted just right.

I care about whether the person working the window is paying attention.

I care about whether the person putting in their order feels welcomed.

I care about whether your burger looks just like the picture on Facebook.

I care about whether the burger you get today is just as good as the burger you got six months ago.

And honestly… sometimes I probably care way too much.

Because I know that when somebody comes to our place, they aren't just spending money.

They're spending their time.

And time is something you don't get back.

Maybe you drove an hour to come see us.

Maybe you brought your kids.

Maybe you stopped in for your Birthday meal.

Maybe you had a terrible day and just wanted a dang good smashburger.

Maybe you brought a friend who has never been here before and told them, "You have GOT to try this place."

I don't take any of that for granted.

Not one bit.

I know there are a million places you could spend your money.

You can get a burger almost anywhere.

You can go to that chain restaurant where everything is designed to be exactly the same.

You can go somewhere fancy.

You can go somewhere cheap.

You can eat at home.

You have choices.

So when you choose us…

I feel like we owe you something in return.

We owe you our best.

Not just when we're having a slow Thursday Lunch.

We owe you our best when the dining room is packed.

We owe you our best when we're buried in orders.

We owe you our best when we're short staffed.

We owe you our best when we are dead tired.

Because that's when consistency actually matters.

Anybody can make a good cheeseburger when they have all the time in the world.

The real challenge is making loads of them in a few hours and making every single one feel like it was made specifically for you.

That's what I obsess over.

That's what I think about when I'm lying in bed at night.

That's why I'll notice something that most people would probably never notice.

That's why I'll see a burger right before the box closes and think, "That one isn't quite right."

And I know that probably sounds crazy.

But I believe the little things matter.

Because eventually, all of those little things add up to an experience.

And I want your experience here to be something you remember.

I don't want Two Farmers to just be "that burger place."

I want it to be the place you bring your kids.

The place you take your out-of-town friends.

The place you stop after a long day.

The place you crave when you haven't had it in a while.

The place where you know exactly what you're going to get when you come through.

And more than anything, I want you to feel like we appreciate you.

Because we do.

I don't care if you've eaten here 500 times or if it was your first visit.

You're important to us.

Every order matters.

Every customer matters.

Every burger matters.

And I know that sometimes we aren't perfect.

We're human.

We're going to have bad days.

We're going to get slammed.

We're going to make mistakes.

Sometimes your food might take longer than you expected.

Sometimes we're going to run out of something.

Sometimes we're going to have a day where we feel like we're getting our butts kicked from the second we open until the second we close.

But I promise you this:

We care.

A lot.

There are real people behind this place who genuinely want you to have a great experience.

There are people in our kitchen who take pride in what they're making.

There are people standing behind that counter who are trying their best to take care of you.

And there is a whole lot of heart packed into this little restaurant.

I never want to become so comfortable or so busy that I forget how special it is that people continue to choose us.

Because the truth is…

You don't have to.

You don't have to drive here.

You don't have to stand in line.

You don't have to wait on us.

You don't have to tell your friends about us.

You don't have to take a picture of your burger and post it to Instagram.

You don't have to leave us a Google review.

You don't have to come back.

But you do.

And that means more to me than I can probably explain.

When I see a familiar face at the window who I recognize as a regular, that still makes me smile.

When somebody tells me they've been coming since we opened, I don't just hear it as a compliment.

I think about how many meals that person has trusted us with.

When somebody tells me their kids love Two Farmers, that means something to me.

When somebody brings somebody else and says, "I told you this place was good," that means something to me.

Those are the things that make all of this worth it.

This restaurant has taken a lot out of me and my wife over the last few years.

But it has also given us so much.

Friendships.

Memories.

Challenges.

Failures.

Successes.

A whole lot of sleepless nights.

And an incredible number of people I never would have met otherwise.

I'm incredibly proud of what we've built.

But I'm also incredibly aware that we didn't build it alone.

Our customers built a huge part of it with us.

Every order helped.

Every recommendation helped.

Every Facebook post helped.

Every person who came back helped.

Every person who told a friend helped.

Every person who supported us on a crazy busy day helped.

So if you've ever eaten at Two Farmers…

Thank you.

Seriously.

Thank you for trusting us with your lunch.

Thank you for bringing your family.

Thank you for waiting when we're slammed.

Thank you for coming back.

Thank you for telling somebody about us.

Thank you for letting us be a small part of your day.

And thank you for allowing me to do something I genuinely love.

I'm just a guy who really, really loves making cheeseburgers.

But I also really love the people I'm making them for.

And as long as we're here, I'm going to keep trying to make them better.

Keep trying to make this place better.

Keep trying to take better care of you.

Because that's what Two Farmers has always been about.

Fresh food.

Good people.

Doing things the right way.

And taking care of the people who took the time to come see us.

We are not fast food.

We're fresh food as fast as we can.

And I hope you always feel the difference.

Thank you for being here 🍔
