Firebeard Coffee Roasters Great coffee makes great conversation We are a local, family owned and operated coffee roasting company.

We roast and sell specialty grade coffee both online and through our mobile coffee trailer. Our desire is to provide quality in every bag and cup of coffee that we provide. We want to teach that coffee is not just a cup of energy but a whole experience to be enjoyed and shared. Our hope is that you will enjoy a great cup of coffee with some great conversation.

It is beautiful to see the process that coffee goes through in a roast. Coffee transforms from a small green seed to the delicious brew that you get to enjoy. As a roaster we receive the green unroasted coffee from a variety of farms and locations through a careful selection process.

As the roast begins, moisture in the beans evaporate and the green turns to a light yellow. The grassy scent shifts to something more like grain and then like fresh bread. As the compounds inside the beans transform a sweet smell wafts out of the batch. The body and flavor greatly develop in the latter stages of the roast as the flavors we love about coffee come to the forefront.

The colors shift and the flavor transforms in the roasting process. In the end, these changes give us the wonderful cup of coffee that we get to enjoy.
