Our pastured meat products include:
pastured Cornish Cross, Freedom Ranger and heritage breed chickens
pastured pork from Tamworth hogs (in cuts like pork chops, spareribs, pork loins, tenderloin, roasts, bratwurst and all kinds of sausages), and
pastured heritage breed turkeys
Our farm started with a desire to have a backyard flock of egg layers and a few meat birds- we bought 25 chickens in 20
05. In 2011, the farm produced over 1200 chickens, 75 turkeys and several litters of piglets. Heritage breeds have taken a prominent place on the farm in the past few years and we are proud to raise several heritage breeds of chickens, turkeys and to breed only heritage hogs. In addition to meat and eggs, the farm also produces wild wine raspberries in July and seasonal produce all summer long. Fresh handmade artisan breads and meat dry rubs are also featured at Chicken Days and at local farmer's markets.
