Today was a good day, as good as it could have been considering. We got all of our debris cleaned up. We finished emptying out our coolers/cases for first responders. We took the rest of the burgers, philly meat, roast beef, turkey, bread, buns..etc.... we walked our community behind us and get every bit of it away!! So many in need. Eveyone was thankful and kind!
In the process, we found a group of our community trapped in their cul-de-sac by a MASSIVE tree. So, I walked back to Grover's and asked my husband to bring the tractor around the block and let's try to get these people out. We weren't 100% sure that we could get it to move bc of it's size....but we did! They were so kind and appciative. What a blessing to them and us!
The power guys say they hope to have power back to our area tomorrow some time. As soon as they do, we'll order a truck! We'll open as soon as we're possibly able to!!!
And yes, those are some of our children on the tractor helping today! This is truly a locally owned and operated business.🙏💜🙏
