Opening this garden has felt like redemption. In 2020 I started building Garden beds on top of what had been my parking lot for the breakfast restaurant version of Roses. We spaced the beds 6 feet apart (lol) in hopes that people would feel safe enough to continue to support our business. It was a long rocky road that ended with me closing the doors. That is why when I see the poppies continue to bloom year after year, even when the building was cold and dark, my spirit soars. What was once an asphalt pad now holds tender blooms, herbs, vegetables and a tinkling fountain. When I walk through the garden I see the perseverance and hope that brought me here and it is my greatest joy that I get to share it with everyone.⛲️🌞🧄
