Well… this is not the post we wanted to make.
Our batch freezer — the machine that lets us make all of our ice cream from scratch — broke last Friday.
We’ve been trying everything we can to get it back up and running. We’ve ordered parts, replaced parts, crossed fingers, said prayers, got it working for one glorious day… and then it decided to break again.
So right now, our dipping cabinet is looking a lot emptier than we’d ever want it to look! To be completely honest, it’s very embarrassing and if I was a guest I would be justifiably upset too.
The frustrating part is that we have a brand new Carpigiani batch freezer waiting for us at our Flagler shop, still wrapped up and ready to go — but because of ongoing permit delays, we can’t use it yet.
We’re hoping to have an Electro Freeze tech here Monday, coming all the way from Gainesville, and we’re doing everything possible to get back to a full flavor lineup as quickly as we can.
In the meantime, we just want to say: thank you.
Thank you for being patient with us. Thank you for still showing up. Thank you for understanding that when you make everything from scratch, one broken machine can throw the whole rhythm off.
We’re sorry if your favorite flavor isn’t in the case right now. We promise it’s not because we forgot about it or you! We miss it too.
We’ll keep making what we can, as fast as we can, with the same love and care as always.
