Sometimes Mother Nature wants to test your fire... and your fuel. 🌧️🔥

During our five-course Live Fire tasting dinner at Hard Truth in Nashville, Indiana, the skies opened up and dumped rain on us. Most fires would’ve waved the white flag.

Not ours.

Fueled by B&B Charcoal , the fire stayed hot, steady, and ready to cook every single course. That’s what really looks like. Less fighting the fire. More cooking incredible food—even when the weather has other plans.

What an awesome weekend in beautiful Nashville, Indiana! 🔥

Team Ain’t It The Life fired up the pits at Hard Truth for Before the Char, where we had the honor of serving a 5-course live fire dinner on Friday night. It was an incredible experience sharing our passion for cooking over fire with so many amazing people.

Saturday was all about competition, and we’re beyond thankful for the results:

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who stopped by, sampled our food, cheered us on, and made this event one to remember. Congratulations to all of the talented teams who competed—it was an honor to cook alongside some of the best.

🔥 Black Betty is loaded up and headed to Nashville, Indiana!🔥

The Ain’t it the Life crew is hitting the road for Charred Truth
, and we couldn’t be more excited!

Friday night, we’ll be serving up a 5-course Before the Char dinner, then it’s game time on Saturday with the People’s Choice event followed by the Live Fire Competition. It’s going to be a weekend full of great food, amazing people, and plenty of fire! 🔥

None of this would be possible without the incredible partners who help fuel our passion:

We’re excited to announce that Ain’t It The Life is returning to Charred Truth at . in beautiful Nashville, Indiana, next weekend—and we’ve got an incredible weekend planned!

On Friday, July 17, join us for Before the Char, where we’ll be serving an unforgettable 5-course live fire dining experience, with each course thoughtfully paired with Hard Truth cocktails. It’s an evening of amazing food, handcrafted spirits, and great company that you won’t want to miss.

Then on Saturday, July 18, the fires really get stoked as we compete in the Charred Truth Live Fire Competition! Come sample dishes from talented chefs and pitmasters during the People’s Choice tasting and cast your vote for your favorite.

We’re especially excited to showcase one of the weekend’s biggest highlights—the limited-edition Hard Truth Reserved Double Oaked Whiskey, making its official debut during Saturday’s Charred Truth event. Another great weekend representing Ain’t it the Life at Ace Hardware in Oakland, TN!

We had an awesome time sharing grilling tips, talking BBQ, and serving up samples of sausage and wings to everyone who stopped by. Nothing beats spending the weekend around fellow BBQ enthusiasts and helping folks take their backyard cooking to the next level.

This weekend’s cooks were powered by Championship Blend Pellets and seasoned with B&B’s Texas Trinity Rub and Chicken Scratch Rub. The combination delivered big flavor and showed why B&B continues to be one of our go-to products for competition and backyard cooking alike.

A huge thank you to Ace Hardware in Oakland, TN having us and to everyone who came by, asked questions, sampled some food, and talked barbecue with us. We appreciate the support and look forward to seeing you at the next event!
