Surrounded by the love of family and friends, Mrs. Thelma Shuman celebrated her 98th birthday with an Afternoon Tea Experience at Magnolia Tea Room, chosen by her goddaughter, Emma Washington.

A woman of remarkable accomplishment and enduring style, Mrs. Shuman is a proud 58-year member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., exemplifying the values of service, sisterhood, and excellence throughout her life. Her legacy also includes serving as Dean of Student Affairs at Tampa Bay Technical High School in Tampa, Florida, where she positively impacted generations of students and families.

Mrs. Shuman, as you return home to Florida, thank you for leaving us with your wisdom, grace, and a gentle reminder to savor life’s precious moments, one sip at a time. Happy 98th Birthday, Mrs. Thelma Shuman!

These lovely ladies discovered the Magnolia Tea Room after Autumn’s friend visited us and shared how much she enjoyed her experience. Traveling all the way from Alabama, they took time to truly savor and enjoy the moment. Autumn (right) was accompanied by her sister-in-love, Tabitha and niece, Caitlin.

They shared wonderful stories about Alabama and their travels, and visiting the Magnolia Tea Room became more than just a tea outing, it was a memorable experience filled with laughter, connection and joy.
