Carolina Bags and Gifts, LLC has a couple of updates to announce. First, thank you to all my loyal customers that buy from my shops, located or at . 2024 was a challenging year for many of us in retail. I started my business before I retired because I needed something to do where I can include my 14 year old granddaughter, Riley. Carolina Bags and Gifts, LLC has spent years curating some of the finest gifts made by Southern Artisans, or gifts about the south and Southern Hospitality. I originally started at Black Lion and then was excited to open my shop in the new . Southern Lion is a beautiful store, started by Sonya Nichols and her son, Rich. It is located at Carolina Place Mall, next to the outdoor entrance to Dillards. Unfortunately, I am in the process of condensing my Southern Lion store into my shop at Painted Tree in Matthews. I will be leaving Southern Lion by the end of January. Thank you to all the customers who shopped my business. You will be able to shop my business at Painted Tree, which also includes children’s books and toys. I hope to see you soon! I will still offer tastings of my gourmet foods, all made in the Carolinas in Matthews! Kathy DeLoache
