It was just another day taking Howard, our 2-year-old rescue mutt, to the vet. 4:30 pm, rush hour. Out of the blue, Howard jumped from the back seat, over the driver and out the door onto Memorial Avenue in rush hour. Almost immediately, an officer from Lynchburg Police Department stopped traffic and then another officer stopped to help us. Thanks to LPD, our dog was safe. Seriously, thanks to LPD because that officer did the best catch - on the fly - of his leash! I wish we could have filmed it. From us, thank you for saving our baby.
