Let’s talk wedding food pricing for a second. 🐷🤍
I see it all the time.. Couples budgeting $12–$15 per person for wedding catering because, on paper, that sounds reasonable.
But y’all… you can barely leave McDonald’s for $15 anymore. 😂
When you book with The Proper Pig, I try to be as transparent as possible about where your money is actually going. You’re not just paying for a plate of food. You’re paying for the ingredients, preparation, staffing, transportation, setup, equipment, service, and the million little things it takes to feed 50, 100, or 150+ people at the same time and do it WELL ✨✨✨
And here’s one thing I will always tell my brides: Don’t spend your budget on things your guests will throw away.
Do we need a $3 cup because it has your initials on it? Probably not. 😂 Get the cute cocktail napkins if you love them, but let me help you find the places where we can save without anyone noticing.
Put your money into the things people will actually remember:
✨ A beautiful venue
🍽️ REALLY good food
🥂 A great experience
Five years from now, nobody is going to say, “Remember the monogrammed cup at their wedding?”
But they absolutely WILL say, “Girl, the food at that wedding was SO GOOD.”
I’m not here to nickel-and-dime you. I’m here to tell you what’s worth spending money on, what isn’t, and how to make your budget work without sacrificing the experience.
That’s why I’m transparent with my pricing from the beginning. No pretending quality catering can still cost what it did ten years ago. No convincing you to buy things you don’t need.
Just really damn good food, realistic pricing, and someone in your corner helping you figure out where your wedding dollars actually matter. 🤍🐷
2027 books are open and yes, I will absolutely tell you when I think you’re about to waste $300 on cups. 😂
