Gluten Free In KC Welcome to my page dedicated to sharing recipes, links, advice, support, etc to those living with Celiac Disease or who love someone with Celiac Disease!

I am a Celiac Disease Warrior! I will NOT let this disease suck the fun outta life for me! I will not let it consume me. While Celiac Disease is what I have, it won't be who I am! I'd like to help others. For a small fee, I can offer the following services beyond what I post on this site:

The What The Hell CAN I eat package:
*how to eat out - reading menus, asking the right questions, and helping you protect yourself against cross contamination
*advice on how to handle social situations/settings

*hittin the aisles - together, we can tour your local grocery store where I can offer suggestions on great gluten free products and help you learn to read labels! For restaurants/businesses - "Uh Oh...how do I feed a 'Celiac'?"

This would typically include:

*Defining and Finding Gluten in your restaurant
*Learning What it Means to have Celiac Disease/Be Gluten Free/Food Allergies
*Identifying Gluten-Free Items on Menu
*Simple adaptations to a menu to include (more) Gluten-Free Options
*How to prevent Cross Contamination - I'll educate your staff on preventing the dreaded CC.

Shoutout to Crave Mediterranean in Liberty. We had an absolutely delish lunch there on Sunday. I ordered their Falafel and their Chicken Schwarma - both of which they said are gluten free and they were served hot, fresh, and delish! We had great food and great service and their Server informed me that according to the Kitchen Staff quite a bit of their menu is gluten free (their gyro meats, pita, and wraps/sandwiches are definitely NOT). If you go, you’ll want to inquire specifically about what you’re wanting to order obviously.

Roadtrips are such a joy of mine! If you’re on one and it takes you to do not miss a visit to Neff Brewing Co!!!! It’s a dedicated gluten free facility. Their food is SO good! Pub food that gluten free folks can actually eat!!!! SAY WHAT?! And, all their beers are gluten free!

We enjoyed the gluten free Fish n Chips, the Fried Pickles, and the Fried Mushrooms. We also enjoyed a Chicken Caesar Salad WITH gf croutons!!!! I hadn’t had a crouton in over ten years!!! And got to sample all the amazing gluten free beers we could drink! We were in heaven!!! What a treat! The folks there are awesome. They’ve got a big patio with board games to enjoy. It’s worth your trip!

Also, Sidenote - a lot of their beers you can find at your local Total W**e & More!

If you’ve never been to Hattie’s in Prairie Village you gotta pop in there! Fresh made Juices - lots of options! All delish and packed with healthy nutrients. They also make really yummy coffees and sell their freshly roasted beans. AND the best part - offer gluten free sandwiches (including breakfast sammies that are soooooo good). You can almost always find gluten free sweet treats there as well. It’s cozy and cute and I can always count on them to provide friendly customer service. It’s a gem of place! There’s fun little shops nearby to walk around in also. Go check them out next time you’re in the area!

Hello to all my new followers! I hope you Guys all have fun Labor Day plans!!! We had some good ol this past weekend! Definitely recommend putting Wolfpack BBQ & Burgers on your agenda. It was fantastic.

If you struggle to find a gluten free protein bar that actually TASTES DELISH, let me influence you to try G2G Bars! My all time favorite protein bars! Ever! We love to take these on hikes, when we travel, etc! So yummy!

(They do contain dairy, however).
