RIP Whiskey

Axl Rose is mourning his cat Whiskey.

Whiskey Maranello Rose died Tuesday at 16. The Guns N' Roses singer shared a photo of Whiskey curled up nose to nose with one of his other tabbies and wrote, "WHISKEY MARANELLO (The Real McCoy) ROSE. February 10 2010 - August 25 2026. A son, a brother, a friend."

It is the second cat Axl has publicly mourned in five years. Dexter "Dexy" Maranello Rose died in 2021 at 14, and Axl thanked fans afterward for everything they sent him. "Good friends r hard to find n' we're all lucky when we find them (or they find us!)," he wrote at the time.

His tabby Dijon turned 21 on July 4. Axl gave him a shoutout from the stage last year for making it to "the big 2-0," right before Guns N' Roses went into "Knockin' on Heaven's Door."

Rest in peace, Whiskey.
