Yellow Fields Bakery

I’m a Michigan Cottage Food Baker who specializes in cookies and cupcakes. Hi, I’m Tracy! I’m the owner and baker behind Yellow Fields Bakery.

I live in Lapeer with my husband, 2 children, and our cat. The inspiration for my bakery name comes from the fields of wild goldenrod that bloom every year on our property, creating a gorgeous view out our windows. I found my love of baking when I was just a child and spent many hours in the kitchen with my grandma. I’ve always baked here and there over the years but really started doing it more after my kids reached their toddler years in 2017, baking often for friends and family. When Covid hit, I had nothing but time and worked on fine-tuning my recipes to sell to the public. Now here we are and my little baking business has become my career. I can’t imagine doing anything else and I’m so thankful for all those who trust me to make their treats. ❤️

I forgot to take pretty pictures but I was proud to donate these cookies to the Lapeer High School Volleyball Pink Out bake sale fundraiser.

I donated in memory of sweet Sara Coulter. 💖

One last order to end the summer.

And it comes with an announcement that effective today, I will no longer be taking orders for September through July. I have taken a job as a 2nd grade teacher assistant and it’s become too difficult to balance cookies and school.

I will be available for limited orders during Christmas break and the books will be fully open for end of June through mid-August each year.

If you currently have an order confirmed with me, don’t worry, those orders will be completed as promised.

Thank you for your business as always!

Aloha! I love when the baby shower request isn’t a traditional one.

The final (I think) baseball ice cream drip cookies of the summer. Good luck Goodrich Thunder on your last game of the season!

The baseball ice cream drip was so popular I got a request for a softball version.

The Christmas season was so busy I forgot to post one of my favorite simple sets I made.

I love Christmas shapes but I’m really looking forward to some cute Valentines designs.

The kitchen remodel is complete and we’re ready to take on holiday orders. 🎉

We hope everyone enjoys their day together with family and/or friends!

We are temporarily closed while our kitchen gets a makeover. We’ll be baking again by late November, just in time for Christmas goodies.

Keep watch for updates!
