Have you ever wanted to learn the Polish language?

We are starting up lessons again at the Federated Polish Home in Lansing, MI Monday September 14th at 6:30pm.

We have a native speaker of Polish instructing us (our backup teacher is also a native speaker) and we are starting a new, modern textbook that is used in Poland to teach newcomers conversational Polish language.

It's a great time to join whether you have some understanding of the language or none at all!

New on the menu: Brown Sugar Peach Cake (picture) and Blueberry Shortcrust Pie! Our Brown Sugar Peach Cake is a soft, moist peach spice cake layered with a brown sugar buttercream that has a hint of ginger and espresso.

The harvest season is really here, and we have delicious treats baked with local/Michigan grown strawberries and blueberries from DeWitt, MI, tart cherries from Conklin, MI, pears from Vermontville, MI and peaches and apples from Rives Junction, MI.

Some updates about where I will be selling Aunt Janie's baked goods:

I will be continuing my every-other week schedule at the Meridian Township Farmers' Market until the end of the summer market.

Sat Aug 29th 8am-2pm
Sat Sept 12th 8am-2pm
Sat Sept 26th 8am-2pm

I am also so excited to say that I will be vending at Old Town Krampusnacht again!

Dec 5th 3pm-8pm

I am also working on some October and December markets/events, but mostly I am looking forward to going back to Polish language classes, doing batch cooking at home, and generally doing things that I don't have as much time to do during the summer market season.

I sincerely thank each and every one of you for your support, and I hope to see you all over the greater Lansing area!

Everything is made from scratch, including all of our fruit fillings.

We source our berries and apples directly from farms within 30 miles of Lansing, our cherries from farms in Conklin, Michigan, and our apricots and poppy seeds from locally owned shops in the Greater Lansing Area.

We're excited to be back for our second season at the Meridian Township Farmers' Market, and we'd love to see you today. Stop by and say Dzień dobry!

Come see us at the Meridian Township Farmers Market on the 4th of July from 8 AM–2 PM!

These mini tart 6-packs (2 blueberry–black raspberry, 2 apple, and 2 black cherry) are made with homemade fillings using fruit sourced directly from Michigan farms. The cherries come from Conklin, and all of the other fruit is sourced within 30 miles of Lansing.

We'll also have blueberry–strawberry streusel cake, apple shortcrust pie, and several varieties of kolaczki, all made with locally sourced fruit.

We'd love to see you there!
