Request: Help me find a use for this space. What should I do with this random section of my deck? It’s about 8’ by 10’. It looks like an ideal place for a hot tub but there is no way it’s sturdy enough (plus I don’t like hot tubs). Also, the area doesn’t get a lot of direct sun.

Is this normal? Been having some issues with my General Contractor so now I’m hyper suspicious of everything. Is this a ...

Is this normal? Been having some issues with my General Contractor so now I’m hyper suspicious of everything. Is this a normal way to attach the 2x4 trim? The perfectionist in me thinks all the 2x6s should touch it without the need for spacers./

So I go to the parts store in Richmond Hill and I asked for Delco single wire alternator ,I need a 51 inch v-belt and a constant power 12 volt,ford style solenoid. She looked at me like I was speaking some foreign language. She said what model vehicle are you working on? I told her you don’t wanna know because it will confuse you more than you already are. she said I have to know the model because I cannot look up anything without a model number. I told her OK. it is a 67 Ford 4000 tractor, that I am converting to a single wire alternator from the generator and I am completely rewiring it with a fuse box. she looked at me. and said sir, we don’t sell tractor parts here. I told her I understood and I walked back out the door. is there no one still that knows anything besides their own name that works in a parts store?

I got into an argument with my roommate because apparently some people think it matters which side of aluminum foil you use, and some people think it makes absolutely no difference.
But I’m sorry, if one side is shiny enough to reflect my entire kitchen and the other side looks like it gave up, there has to be a reason. I refuse to believe aluminum foil companies just decided to give us a glossy side and a dull side for dramatic effect.
Now every time I wrap leftovers, I feel like I’m making a choice that could either preserve my food perfectly or ruin dinner on a microscopic level. I don’t know what the answer is, but there’s no way this is just decoration.

This seems right to you ? Only nails to support this huge deck at a house I rented this weekend.

My hvac system is blowing very weak & the temperature won’t come down.
I have two thermostats (Zone 1 Zone 2) up stairs and down stairs, when I turn off the up stairs & leave the bottom thermostat on I can hear it blowing the air strong.
Last week I had a problem where my A/C stayed on all night & woke up freezing at 60 degrees.
I changed all my air filters, one thing I also noticed is the outside unit is now blowing hot air out, not sure if that’s normal it’s rather cool.
(My home is a new built, less than 2 years old)
