My husband connected with someone through his job that I planned a Disney vacation for maybe 7-8 years ago.. Like.. it’s truly been a while! He said this person talked about how much fun they had and said I done a wonderful job planning their trip 🥹

Even after the 7-8 years it’s been since planning this clients vacation, I can still remember exactly where this family stayed and even the time of the year - Animal Kingdom Lodge during the Christmas season.

You may be surprised to know that I don’t forget the details of my clients previous trips. I can usually remember the last ship they sailed on, which resort they stayed in last, what they were celebrating and what special add on’s did they have for that experience.. I don’t forget names. I can usually recall the year and about how old their babies were even 🥹

I mean.. sure.. this skill helps me when it comes to things like recommending what they should try next or come up with new experiences I think then will like based on interests and what they loved last time… But even bigger than that, I think it just really showcases how serious I take this job.. how much I appreciate my clients.. and that no single booking or inquiry is just a number to me 🥹

I once read that if you ask an adult about childhood, they probably won’t remember the toys..

They’ll remember that time you:

🌊 got your van stuck on Daytona Beach
🎣 Went fishing and caught 30 crappie on your birthday
🚢 Made funny faces in the cruise ship elevator mirror
☀️walked 14 miles in one day around a theme park

Wrapping up our last few days of summer break.. and celebrating our middle child’s 14th birthday all in one day has really had in my feels.

Our summer has flown by.. but it’s been packed full of adventures I’ll never forget.. I’m so thankful for the gift that experiences outlive possessions - and I think this summer has been some of our best yet.

Cheers to counting down the days til Thanksgiving break 🥂

Biergarten is the most UNDERRATED restaurant at Walt Disney World. There I said it… and experiencing the atmosphere during the holiday season just elevates the experience.

THIS IS JUST MY OPINION.. and you’re entitled to your (wrong) one 😆.. Also I feel qualified to make this claim as someone who has personally visited the house of mouse well over 60 times.

Biergarten + Le Cellier have become my go to dining experiences when in Epcot. You just cannot go wrong with a German buffet - especially if your a pretzel and cheese soup lover 😍

Coming at you guys this morning with a moment of vulnerability..

Next week my kiddos go back to school: 11th grade, 8th grade and kindergarten 😭🥹 I’m overwhelmed with a mix of pride and sadness. It’s our job as parents to nurture and grow these tiny humans we are trusted with into functioning adults.. right?

But for the first time in almost 17 years, I will be home without any of my babies with me through the week.. and right in this moment I feel so devastated about that.

I’m used to having at least one side kick - to spoil, run errands with, clean the house with and do little special things with… and for the first time in my adult life, I won’t have that beginning next week. It’s going to be a big change for me.. 💔

It truly will make the weekends, holidays and breaks so much sweeter.. but inevitably fly by.

If someone really could invent a Time Machine and help me turn back time, it would be so appreciated right now 😅

Did you know Disney Cruise Line is the ONLY cruise line that offers rotational dining? This means that you rotate through 3 different restaurants while on board and simultaneously keep your same server staff - they move WITH you! “Worlds of Marvel” is one of the included meals onboard these 3 ships - you don’t pay a dime extra for this experience! Our family always looks forward to this interactive experience!

Here lately I’ve been doing some thinking and it has raised this question in my head: If you were in need of cardiac care, would you go to an ENT (ear, nose + throat) doctor? NO! You would go to a cardiologist because that’s the speciality physician in which you need care for!

The same rule applies to travel.. and this is where I come in (and yes, I’m qualified to use this analogy because I have a background of 13 years in emergency nursing)

motherhood 🫶🏻 my most important job.
I hope each of your summers have been exactly what you needed them to be.. whatever that looks like for you. I’m still relishing the blessing of dedicated time together, new memories and the beauty/heartbreak of watching our kids get older.
