We also want to address confusion about receiving money from the City of Kyle. As part of downtown revitalization efforts, the city is using funds to upgrade infrastructure—not to support us. We will receive rebates in the form of property tax and a portion of sales tax for three years after building our new location and meeting all requirements. This is all public information.

We didn’t know we got to feed the legendary United Cajun Navy! They have been boots on the ground working tirelessly since July 6th! It was an honor to serve these amazing folks!

Question: How do we eat when we’re busy working on deployment in Kerr county?

Answer: Very well.

Thanks to amazing volunteers from all over Texas (and right here in Kerr county) real-deal Texas BBQ is always at the ready, free for first responders and volunteers.

And getting it from a road-side smoker on wheels… doesn’t get more authentic than that!

To let everyone know, unfortunately, due to city code, we were not allowed to have seating because we lack a public restroom. We tried our best to accommodate our guests, but to stay compliant we had to remove the seating. We still encourage our beloved customers to join us and support your favorite local BBQ joint, especially during challenging times like these! So come tailgate with us BYOB and BYOS!!

Your support sustains us and empowers us to reach out and uplift the communities hit hardest in these devastating times. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of this mission of love and service.

We believe in being the hands and feet of Jesus, and it was a privilege and honor to serve not only those who stepped up and answered the call—whether first responders or volunteers—but also those who have lost so much. What we witnessed in Hunt, Texas, was truly heartbreaking: entire homes swept away, debris as far as the eye could see. The stories we heard sent chills up our spines. Yet this community, along with people from all walks of life, came together to serve their neighbors—it was beautiful. One gentleman said it best: “Being here makes you forget the rest of the crap in this world.” This area will continue to need your support long after the media attention fades. Please don’t forget that!

We are deeply grateful to our supporters who stepped up and donated: US Foods, Casa Maria Mexican Restaurant/Bar and Bakery San Marcos, Sozo Church. Without your support, we could not have served over 400 plates! A special thanks to my team, who endured harsh weather and pushed through to serve this amazing community.

We will be back in Hunt, Texas, on July 21st, with details to be determined.
