✨ Mystic Sisters Monday: Hecate ✨
This week, we’ve drawn Hecate, and I’ll be honest.. this one feels personal.
Hecate is a guide I’ve worked with for quite some time. She tends to show up for me when life feels a little stuck, a little uncertain, or when I’m standing in that uncomfortable “what now?” space. If she’s coming through this week, it’s a gentle but firm reminder that you’re not actually stuck, you’re just being asked to choose a direction.
✨ Who Is Hecate? ✨
Hecate comes from ancient Greek mythology. She’s known as a triple goddess, embodying maiden, mother, and crone, which gives her a unique ability to see things from all stages of life at once.
She is the guardian of crossroads, thresholds, and transitions. Not just physical ones, but emotional, spiritual, and life-changing moments. She carries torches, symbolizing her role as a light in the dark, especially when the path ahead isn’t fully clear.
She’s also deeply connected to intuition, the unseen, and the space between what was and what will be.
✨What Does This Mean? ✨
You may find yourself at a turning point.
Not necessarily a dramatic, life-altering one. Sometimes it’s quiet. A decision you’ve been avoiding, a path you’ve been circling but not stepping onto, or a feeling that something needs to shift.
Hecate doesn’t make the choice for you. That’s not her role. She stands beside you and says, look closely, trust yourself, and decide. Take time to weigh your options, think about where each path could lead, and talk it through with someone you trust; whether they’re older, younger, or simply see things differently than you do. And then, choose.
✨How Do I Work With Hecate’s Energy? ✨
Keep it simple this week. Light a candle if you feel called, even just for a moment of stillness. Reflect on where you feel pulled in two or more directions. Pay attention to your intuition, especially those quiet gut feelings that don’t always make logical sense.
You don’t need perfect clarity to move forward. You just need enough trust in yourself to take the next step.
✨ What Now? ✨
When you’re standing at a crossroads, it’s easy to feel like you need to see the entire path before you begin. Hecate reminds us that you only need to see the first few steps.
The rest reveals itself as you walk.
