WHAT EXACTLY IS "BLIND DATE WITH A BOOK"??
A “Blind Date with a Book” is a mystery book wrapped in plain paper with only a few clues—such as genre, tropes, or mood—written on the outside, so you choose it without knowing the title or author. This concept is used by bookstores, libraries, and online shops to encourage discovery and surprise.
How It Works
The book is fully wrapped so you cannot see the cover, title, or author.
The wrapping includes short hints like “enemies to lovers,” “cosy mystery,” “dark academia,” or mood words.
You pick based on the clues alone, then unwrap it at home to reveal your surprise read.
