Hello out there! I’m back in the shop today, excitedly opening boxes of new supplies that were delivered in my absence. I’m especially excited about these Sailor Tuzu fountain pens and adorable mini ballpoint pens that will be available for adoption later today.

The shop is open regular hours, Tuesday through Saturday this week but hours will be adjusted next week because I’m taking my teenagers to California for vacation. I haven’t taken a full week off for 2.5 years so I’m beyond excited to immerse myself in adventure with them. I’ll finalize shop hours today so watch for that posting later this week.

I’m here until 6 today if you need any supplies or would like to escape the heat in a beautiful, air conditioned environment.

Look who came for a visit today! It’s Anna from Art Coop! If you’re an artist in the Chamgane-Urbana area you should definitely shop for your supplies at .coop.inc and support Anna and Hilary’s cool, independent, queer-owned art store.

Today was a wonderful day, filled with great people and new connections. Thanks so much for coming from near and far to explore Kalamazoo Dry Goods.

I’m flying to Florida for a couple of days for brush training with Silver Brush but Jasmine will be in the shop 10-6 on Tuesday and I’ll be back in time to open Wednesday morning.

Progress pic! Here’s the new setup for acrylics and drawing supplies. This space was the classroom for a brief period and still holds fiber arts supplies in the other half, but I’m really loving developing this room more fully. What do you think?

Also, a couple of updates:
• the sale is on! Brushes, Sennelier and Caran d’Ache sets, Daniel Smith 15ml tubes, and Golden acrylics open stock are all on sale through Saturday.
• the shop will be closing a few minutes early today so I can make it to my son’s 8th grade promotion ceremony. I’ll be locking up at 5:45 to get there by 6.
• the shop is open 10-7 Friday and 10-4 Saturday (closing an hour early for soccer!). Please plan accordingly.

It’s a big weekend in Kalamazoo! With the KIA art fair and Pride both within blocks of the shop I thought it would be a good time to have a sale. 🙌🏻

The shop will be closing early (4:00) this Saturday due to soccer so please plan accordingly. I’ll open early though if I’m able!

Please remember there is free, easy, on-street parking right in front of the shop and all along South St. If it’s full you can pull into my driveway and park behind Lucille.

There’s also a bike rack out front so you can secure your ride if it has less than 4 wheels.

I’ve been trying to make a sale post for a couple of days because I’m having a sale starting today. But I’ve been busy and got distracted by all the pretty things so I didn’t even take pics of most of the sale items and I’ve just been telling people about the sale when they come in 😭 I’m really not good at having sales I guess.

But there’s a sale on, though not necessarily on the things in these pics. 😂

I’m going to keep trying so maybe you’ll see a *real* sale post tomorrow but if not, please know there’s a sale happening now on :

Hello and Happy Friday! The shop is starting to come together and I’m heading home for the night but I came with updates.

First, I did my very best this week but there are A LOT of things that are on the shelves but not priced or in inventory. This isn’t usually a problem except that I’ll be in Ann Arbor for a soccer tournament tomorrow and Jasmine can’t price supplies for you. So please be patient if you want to purchase the newest additions because it may or may not take a couple of texts to get you a price.

Also, no fabric cutting tomorrow. Sorry!

The shop is open 10-5 Saturday and closed Sunday and Monday as usual. I hope you all have a fantastic holiday weekend!

These supplies brought to you by Subaru! 🙌🏻 I got home about 1:00 this morning after a packed 4 days at Creativation in St. Louis and brought back approximately one Outback and one Forester worth of new supplies with not an inch to spare. Big thanks to Kyle from Royal Talens and Mattie from Write On! For helping me tetris all these supplies into the vehicles and get them back to my shop.

I’ll be spending the day unloading and figuring out where I’m going to put all this good stuff. The shop is open until 6 and I’d love to see you!
