Many people spend their entire lives trying to become “good enough” for God.
Trying harder.
Performing better.
Hiding weakness.
Cleaning up every flaw before coming near Him.
But the Gospel was never an invitation to impress God.
It was an invitation to surrender.
A.W. Tozer understood something many of us forget:
God is not loved by polished performances.
He is pleased by childlike trust.
Because real faith is not pretending we are strong.
It is running to Christ even while fully aware of how weak we are.
And maybe one of the hardest things to believe is this:
God already sees every flaw,
every failure,
every hidden struggle…
and still opens His arms to us.
Not because sin doesn’t matter—
but because His mercy is deeper than our shame.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8
