🐻 Hello everyone! I'd like to formally introduce myself to the town, and explain a few things. My name is Laena Miller. I am your local, animal loving, tree hugging(&sniffing!), food delivering, new-owner-&-operator of Bear Necessities Delivered.
Living here in Idyllwild has been a true blessing, and now to be in business serving our amazing town is a great joy!!
🌲 I’ve been living on the Mountain for over three years now, which still makes me a newbie, but I love being a part of our community, and have so much to give. Since moving here, I have been a part of many things from coaching soccer with the littles in 2023(🫣look, we tried, Go Little Bigfeet 💜), volunteering with the MCMA (something I hope to do more of! I love this community's willingness to care for each other), to working at some local eateries, and the theatre, as well as supporting local musicians and artists & performing at Ren Faires, or doing singing telegrams here in town. This town is a wonderful place for music and magic to happen, it truly is amazing to live here.
🫡 I’m honored to take over The Bear Necessities business from Cynthia, who worked so very hard to build up the business from nothing, in a time where delivery became a Necessity. Last year, she saw her future heading in a different direction and trusted me with this service. It became official in April! 💕 Taking over this business has been incredible, and I have many plans for the future. (I'd like to note here, that at no point will I be using generative AI, and all my flyers/website/media will be done either by myself or with/by local artists 😉)
🤱🏻 I'd also like to take a moment of time to give thanks to my Mom, Michele Miller, who helped me purchase and transfer of the business exactly one month before her passing. She fought cancer twice in her life, and raised me as an only parent. We survived a lot together, and she spent her last year in our beautiful town, where she was able to give me one final present before she left. Her memory gives me a little more love and appreciation to everyone I deliver to. It's due to her passing that this page has been so silent.
💔 However, today marks 100 days since I last posted, and it is time for me to become more active.
So, if you need something, *ANYTHING* delivered to you, or maybe you need a singing telegram for that someone special - CALL/TEXT ME! ✨🐻 And please, feel free to wave or say hello, or ask for a hug when you see me out on delivery/around town. (Yes, I can also deliver hugs 💜)
