So I was asked a while ago about this and it’s not the only time someone has asked. “Why is cake so expensive or how do I price my cake even for the simplest cake?”
I completely understand wanting to know what goes into the cost of a custom cake.

Because I run a small, independent home bakery rather than a mass-production storefront, every single order receives my undivided attention from start to finish. When you invest in a custom cake starting at $125 and going up depending on size and detail, you are paying quality, personalized design, and hours of hands-on labor:

Premium Ingredients & Rising Costs: Inflation has significantly raised the cost of staple baking items like real butter, eggs, pure vanilla, and specialty packaging. I source high-quality ingredients so your cake tastes just as amazing as it looks.

Preparation & Baking: Every custom order requires baking multiple individual layers, carefully monitoring bake times, and prepping scratch-made buttercream, custom color batches, and specialized elements like fondant or edible prints.

Multi-Step Chilling & Structuring: To ensure your cake is sturdy and beautifully finished, it goes through a precise multi-stage process—including flash-freezing to lock in moisture, applying a crumb coat to lock in stray crumbs, and chilling between layers before the final coat of smooth frosting is applied.

Artisanal Decorating & Details: Decorating requires detailed hand-work, whether that involves precision piping, custom stenciling, ganache drips, or delicate sugar accents.

Packaging, Presentation & Overhead: Beyond the baking and decorating, hours are spent cleaning and sanitizing equipment between steps, setting up photography for advertising purposes, and carefully packaging your order with custom boxes, labels, and bows so it arrives ready to celebrate.

Some cakes I forgot to post. It’s been very busy!! But thank God for it. ☺️😁 the two cakes that look very similar to each-other was for one cake order. One 6” for everyone to have a slice. And then a 4” for the smash cake ☺️

As this business continues to grow, I wanted a name that truly captures the heart and vision behind every bake.
✨ What’s changing? Our name, logo, and social handle!
✨ What’s staying the same? The quality, flavors, and love poured into every order!

I have already changed the name on the page but it may take a few days for it to finally officially change to that.

When I first started baking and decorating cakes alongside my aunt, I needed a business name fast—so I picked something quick just to get the page up and running! But as this sweet little journey has evolved, I’ve felt a deep pull in my heart to transition to a name that truly reflects where this business is today and who makes it all possible.

First and foremost, I want to give all the glory and honor to God. Without Him, I wouldn’t have the talent, passion, or drive to do what I do. He gave me this gift, and He has faithfully guided and grown this business every step of the way.

Secondly, I want to thank God for allowing my aunt Amanda to be able to teach me and pass her knowledge that she learned from her aunt, my great aunt.

Growing a small business takes time, patience, and a whole lot of trust. Word-of-mouth support from all of you has been such a huge blessing, and I’m so grateful for every share, recommendation, and order that has helped me reach new families and celebrations.

So, get ready! A brand new, faith-filled name is coming very soon. The face behind the cakes, the love, and the quality will stay the exact same—just wrapping it all up in a new name that honors Him!
