That’s a wrap Houston! We can’t thank you enough for the way that you said goodbye to us since we announced our closing on Thursday morning. We tried to make it all the way to Sunday night but unfortunately had to shut it down late Saturday afternoon due to an overwhelming demand. Thank you again for an amazing journey and I can’t wait to share our next chapter with you!

We hate to say this, but we are really close to running out of burgers. We see y’all lining up outside, and know they won’t last long. We will be selling whatever else we have Bodega style— falafel patties, hot Cheeto buns, sauces, and whatever else we can sell so you can take a bit of Bernie’s back home. Yesterday was insane.⁣

We don’t know how to thank you for the love that has been shown. Thousands flooded to our humble Bellaire abode to say their goodbyes and have their last Bernie’s Burger. Almost two thousand of you placed online orders and crashed our system— our trusty ticket printer even broke down twice. Wow, Houston. Just wow. ⁣
⁣
We had to make the difficult decision to shut down online ordering and delivery service. Dine in, take out only today. We’re doing our best to keep up with the limited staff and limited supply we have left. Getting quality ingredients is tough— and we won’t settle for anything less, so we’re working with what we have for as long as we can.⁣
⁣
We hope you know we’re doing the best we can. From the bottom of our heart, we’re sorry to any one who waited hours, we’re sorry to anyone who didn’t get their food, and we’re sorry to anyone who’s orders had to be cancelled. Cancelled orders should see refunds in up to 48 hours. We hope you know that we’re trying our hardest and that we don’t take your support lightly. ⁣

To those that have eaten a burger in our honor, that have driven from far and wide, and those who have sent us photos and messages reminiscing on the past ten years.⁣

Bernie’s fam, we don’t even know what to say. We are flooded with orders and are floored by the line wrapping around the building. As you know, we’re closing in a few days and only have our core staff. We are trying our best to feed you one last time. Thank you for coming out to support us, but in doing so remember to be safe and practice safe distancing from each other. We’re busy making your food as fast as we can! We freakin’ love you Houston. Hey Bernie’s fam, we have some news.

We’ve had the pleasure of serving Houston the best burgers for almost ten years and have the laughs and the memories to show for it... but this pandemic is ruthless and Bernie’s Burger Bus is shutting it’s doors indefinitely.

Though the future is uncertain, know we’re grateful for each and every one of you and excited for what’s to come. Come join us for a tasty cheeseburger, fries and milkshake between now and our final service on Sunday, May 31.
