WORD FOCUS: YOUR WORD STEER YOUR COURSE
TEXT: JAMES 3:4-5 âLook at the ships also: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs. So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire!....â
A ship was not designed to be at the mercy of the wind, dictating the course of the vessel. Likewise, God never designed your life to be at the mercy of the circumstances of life. True, the wind of adversity may be fierce and tough on the economy, but no adverse situation must be allowed to dictate the direction of your life.
With the promise of God spoken in faith from your mouth, you can chart a fresh course for your family, career, business or ministry. These words will steer the course of your life to Godâs predetermined destination for your life. No ship captain undertakes a journey without a clear destination in mind; likewise as the captain of your life you must set a course for your life this season with the word of promise.
In your finances you can boldly declare over your life, that your money will not be tied to wasteful investments. The wisdom of God will supervise your spending the same way Joseph supervised everything in Pharaohâs household. Fear and anxiety will not rule your health; rather, faith and a sound mind will supervise your health, any time the enemy raises an argument in your mind against your health, reminding you of reasons why you will die because of health challenge, donât be quiet! Speak up; resist him with the truth â the promise of God.
Do you know the devil fears your resistance? Why? He knows the consequences of exercising your authority against him with the truth of Godâs word, he will flee from you. This explains why the devil inspires logical questions and arguments in your heart to weaken your confidence in Godâs word. No captain abandons his ship to another personâs opinion to control. So take charge of the course of your âshipâ and steer it to the desires outcome. No wave of trouble is strong enough to stop your progress, you are unstoppable! Declare today - The voice of a stranger will not set the course of my life this season, I flee from every voice of a stranger. My experience each day will be a fulfilment of Godâs word to me.
