I never post a review on anything after just one time of getting it because you never know if you just got lucky but this is my 3rd time getting the large shrimp poboy at Sherwood Poboy in Walker and every time it's been delicious. $23.85 and it comes with fries and a drink. Me and Caleb both eat on this twice 😋 The service is always very friendly also ! Don't come for me for not offering seafood anymore .. cause although ours is great - you can get your fix right down the road 🩷

BBQ brings the family together, mostly because they smell it from down the street 😅

✨ THANKFUL TUESDAY•MEET THE OWNERS 🩷

Since we’ve gained about 10,000 new friends lately, I figured it was time to reintroduce the crew behind the chaos, the cooking, and the crazy dream that became Moore to Love.

Hey y’all — I’m Natalie, born and raised in the tiny town of Holden, LA and proud Holden High School graduate of 2010. My husband, Caleb, is a Walker boy through and through, class of 2008. We met online in July of 2010, went on one date a week later, and… that was it. Young, dumb, and in love — and we’ve been stuck together like glue ever since.

We got married in April 2011 after only eight months. Caleb spent 15 years on the road as a truck driver while I put my schooling and dreams on the back burner because sometimes life doesn’t give you choices — you just do what you have to do to survive.

In October 2014, we welcomed our daughter, Kenzie, and I was blessed to be a stay‑at‑home mama until she started school. When she did, I followed her right into the school system because I couldn’t imagine her stepping into the big world without her mama close by. I worked in cafeterias, subbed at different schools, and eventually made my way back home to Holden School. Seven years in the lunchroom, two years as a janitor and special needs para. I loved those kids, loved being on her schedule… but I knew deep down I wanted more for my family.

On the side, I ran two small businesses — a t‑shirt shop and my little pink‑tent bakery. Every dollar we made from those side hustles went into a dream we weren’t even sure we’d ever get to chase.

But here’s the truth:
Your past is not your final destination.
If other people could have nice things, so could we.

So we hustled. We saved every penny for two years. And in April 2024, I left my safe job and bought my pink food truck. What was supposed to be my full‑time job quickly turned into a full‑blown family affair. Caleb left is truck driving career to join me and to be honest I didn’t know what I was doing — I just knew I wanted to cook good food, give people Moore than their money’s worth, and create something they couldn’t get anywhere else.

Food truck life is HARD.
Breakdowns. Weather. Overbooked events. 150‑degree heat. Long days. Longer nights.
But the lines we had — no matter what city we rolled into — proved that what we were doing worked.

In January 2026, we were casually looking at property for a food truck lot or maybe a brick‑and‑mortar because our drive in lot we operated at in Albany was not going in the direction we had planned with expanding. That’s when I stumbled across the building that is now our diner. The second I saw it, I saw vision. Yes, it’s small — but that’s exactly what we wanted. Booked and busy. Quality over quantity. A life outside of work. A place that felt like us. 🏁🫶

And now here we are.
Kenzie went from running the register in the food truck at 9 years old to running the entire front of house at our diner. Caleb smokes the meats and runs the drinks and milkshake station. I’m on the grill/ fryer, making the homemade sides, designing the menu, running the social media, decorating, planning, and keeping this whole ship afloat. We have two very dedicated employees on our team that help keep this Diner dream rolling 🫶

We are Moore to Love —
Natalie, Caleb, and Kenzie Moore.
If you don’t see us, the diner isn’t open. We are the owners, the cooks, the cleaners, the planners, the everything. Some people say, “You don’t own a business, you own a job.” Call it whatever you want — this is ours, and we’re going to do it the right way.

We WANT to be hands‑on.
We WANT to be here.
We actually love what we do.

Thank you for being here, for supporting us, for believing in a family with a dream and a whole lot of heart. We’re grateful today and every day.

💗 Happy Thankful Tuesday, y’all.
We’re just getting started. 👏🌟

Our besties over at Sneaux Candy dropped off our syrup Friday morning, and when they did…
Luke said “hold up, this light is hittin’” and went full photographer mode while Big Papa sliced into some fresh briskets. 🤤

As a small business owner, cooking and serving the food is only HALF the job.
The other half is showing the world what makes yours special… and y'all, these briskets deserve their close‑up. 📸

Big Papa puts his whole heart into his smoked meats. It takes patience (which I personally was not blessed with 😅), skill, and years of trial and error to get them this tender, this juicy, this perfect.🤌 I make all of our rubs, sauces , and seasonings ♡Big Papa and I together make the best team 🫶

It doesn’t matter if you smoke on an offset with wood, a pellet smoker, whatever — what matters is the end result. 🤏
We don’t throw shade. We don’t gatekeep.
We just deliver product. Throwing shade towards another small business trying to make it out here - we could never 💯 😉

We use 100% American Greater Omaha Certified Hereford beef briskets from our supplier at Performance Foodservice and our reps KNOW we don’t play about quality. They deliver the good stuff every time 👏

So here’s a little peek at the love, the pride, and the craft that goes into every slice. 🩷
