Mujer en Vota! (Woman, Go Vote!)
Hartford, CT, this is a message to all of you who call this city home. Let’s be clear—most politicians don’t understand us. They don’t know who we are, they don’t care about our needs, our culture, our families, or our health. They don’t care about our struggles, about our history. This city has been taken from us in the blink of an eye by out-of-state investors making shady deals, erasing our heritage while we, the struggling poor, are left to watch the rich get richer.
These people keep communities poor and uninformed so that we don’t have a say in anything. But just know this—you don’t have to be rich to make change. Your VOTE is your currency… go spend it on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
We are not powerless. We are mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, neighbors, church members, co-workers, and friends. We are the heartbeat of Hartford, and it is critical that we get involved, ask the hard questions, and, most importantly, VOTE! Every single vote counts, and when we don’t take advantage of our constitutional right to vote, we silence ourselves. We let them think we don’t care. We let them believe they can ignore us.
Hartford is our home, not theirs. This November, we need you at the polls like never before. If you’ve never voted, now is the time. Don’t just vote in the national elections—your vote in local elections is just as important. It’s time to make your voice heard, to take back what’s ours, and to show them that we, the people, will not be ignored.
