Hello everyone,
After a hard, long time of thinking and making decisions, I’ve decided to close my small business effective 10/18/2026.
This has come with a lot of tears, frustration, anger, upset, and more. I’ve had to realize that financially, my business is no longer sustainable from an expense outlook as well as a time management perspective.
The current state of the economy has ruined so many small businesses that used to thrive. Businesses that put their all into their customers and loved being their reason for happiness. Including in my town that I primarily serve, there are 8 businesses that have shut down this summer due to economics. Every single smile I created, every bride and groom that trusted me, every venue I attended, every review made everything so worth the journey and the late nights.
However, the economy currently, the cost of ingredients is not allowing me to continue staying open. I can barely afford to feed my family at the moment and am late on a lot of bills, let alone keeping my business open. If I raised my prices any further, it wouldn’t be fair to any of you guys and you shouldn’t have to pay a fortune for desserts for your special celebrations. I don’t want to do that to my clients and therefore, I’m making the difficult decision to put my business away in order to preserve the honesty and fairness to my clients.
I want to thank each and every single one of you for supporting me through these last two years. I’ve truly loved making cakes and goods for all of you and attending my vendor events. It made me feel like I had a purpose outside of a normal 9-5 job. Unfortunately, the circumstances in this world today and monetarily force my hand to make the toughest decision I have to make.
Thank you all so much for your love, support, and reviews. I couldn’t have gotten this far without you.
