Days are counting down..... whose hungry 🤤? A lot of work, and planning to create another destination spot in Hamilton!!!! What's everyone craving and missing?

It's new uniform day for Team Coach House! We are nearing the completion of our full renovation, and looking forward to onboarding the rest of our new team members! Man it feels good to be cooking!!!!!! First day of school service was yesterday.... I know Miss Hope was happy to see the kiddos again at St. Peter in Chains School and happy kids at Queen of Peace too!! Getting closer every day here too at Coach House!! Still looking for a few candidates to join our elite culinary team over here....great hours, sign on bonus, excellent pay, benefits, 401k program....

Today is our anniversary June 29th, also our closing day too today.... my wife had a thought, I had a vision... I sat outside on a bench in front of what is now the Kirsch building, on a chilly May morning back in 2014. I sat out there from about 630 in the morning till about 1230, counting the foot traffic.... I saw many people that morning that was in eye sight.. I looked around at every detail, what's available to eat, what buildings were vacant.. (ours included for nine years).... I knew the old Hallmark was the spot for new life in downtown Hamilton... my wife said "let's call it High St. Cafe... the sound of it stuck! We loved the name.... we worked hard for the next 11 months to give the dormant building of 9 years life again..... We were one of the first ones to set up shop in a slower business district at that time... we are all proud of what we accomplished over the years... won many awards, made great friends.. Today marks an end to an epic journey we created over the years, but opens new adventures as well.. we have passion, pride, and most especially LOVE for this type of business!!! Today we want to thank everyone who has shared the love that we have... and if it wasn't for those who supported us over the years with a thriving business, others may not be here to say the same thing.... we look forward to new adventures... and look forward to bring the LOVE again to The Coach House in the fall..... we will never forget the memories and friends we have made over the years!!!! Thank you Hamilton!!! We definitely believe in you!!! 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘

Happy Monday Hamilton!!!!! So this weekend at the High St. Cafe we made our last Chicken Berry Salad and did our last catered wedding!!! It was sad for me to be doing my last prep work in my kitchen here.... executing, organizing my last events.... but also joyful knowing what we will be doing in a few months.... it's been a pleasure serving everyone that we have served here in town and other locations too..... I would love to see and hear everyone that we have touched over the years.... be it just service inside, a graduation party, wedding, whatever events we have done for you... if you have pics, post em up!!!!!! The perfect end to a great last day! Thank you so much Luke's Custom Cakes for this beautiful cake and for being a great downtown neighbor. Chef Phil has shed some tears today, and this thoughtful gift brought the water works! Thank you to everyone who stopped by…today and through the years! We will miss you all. Truly Icing on the Cake!!

Well our Epic journey is about to be done.... it all started back in 2014 when my wife asked me if you wanted to open a restaurant?....I chuckled.."you know how hard it is to run a restaurant?"..... she knew I could do it.... which started the High St. Cafe... took 11 months, taking an abandoned building that laid vacant for 9 years..... I spent every day down here in the demo process and the build out.... no AC in the middle of summer tearing the old apart getting the new ready.... planned, and visioned the New Life in Hamilton.... I've been in this field now for 35 years.... I knew it could be done!!!! Well today almost 9 years now, this life of this old building will come to an end, and have more life in it down the road for the work we have done to it.... again amazing support yesterday, SOLD OUT AGAIN!!... But today is the last day, till we reopen The Coach House, for your well deserved, desired Berry Salad!!!!! We are busy reloading again to give everyone what they would love to enjoy 1 last time down here at High St Cafe.... thank you everyone who has witnessed, been a part of our legacy we have created in Hamilton.... brings tears to my eyes in writing this..but joy knowing the Love and Support we have from everyone congratulating us on our next Epic journey here in town.... stop by today we will miss everyone till we see you again..... we all will be down here for our auction June 25th.... here at the cafe stop by support us say hi!!!!! 😘😘😘

This week has been wonderful, chatting with patrons, hearing all of the positive feedback from what we have done here at the High St. Cafe, and what we are going to be doing down the road.... the support from
Other local businesses, wishing us the best is so heartwarming... it makes us smile and makes us cry... again we sold out yesterday with our Berry Salad.... our dressing, spices.. but again we are reloading for a beautiful day here in town!!!! Only today and tomorrow to get your fix!!! We have seen so many wonderful faces over the last few days.... planning on seeing more today and tomorrow!!!!! We love everyone, and love the positive support everyone is giving us!!!! Thank you Hamilton!!!!! We truly believe in Hamilton!!!!!😘😘😘

Friday offering you your favorite Salad!!!!! It's become a hometown FAVORITE for sure!!!!! We opened back in 2015 with not much around us, I knew we would do well.... I scoped out this location, sitting on a bench outside the Kirsch building for 7 hours counting people.... I knew this would be the spot!!! If you bring consistency, quality, and diversity people will come!!!! We brought back life to our building that laid dormant for over 9 years...... blood, sweat, and tears for sure..... get your Berry today....

Good neighbors are hard to find..... Sara Vallandingham You guys have been awesome.... here In town and your other new location in The Spooky Nook!!! I'll sure miss seeing familiar faces and friends for sure!!☹️ I'll bug yas till the end of the month..😉

I have to celebrate my friend Phil and the amazing High Street Cafe one last time! There is no telling how many Chicken Berry Salads, BLTs, and No Bake cookies I’ve eaten since June 29, 2015. High St. Café was instrumental in rebuilding the urban core of downtown Hamilton and has been such an important part of the Hamilton story. Phil and his team are some of the hardest working people I know! I’ll miss them, and I’ll miss walking right next door on Thanksgiving morning to pick up my delicious catered Turkey! 😂
Thanks for being the best neighbor Phil, we will miss you dearly! See you at the Coach House!

Good morning Hamilton!!!!!! So everybody knows this is a sad week... this will be our last week of in house service.... it's a bittersweet ending, so many memories, the good and the bad... I have spent countless hours down here, months of planning, remodeling, some mornings at 2 and 3 AM for parties, 7 days a week.. created so many great relationships, friends, contacts, stories... but as life progresses, we create more.. this is just another chapter in what we call life.... we will continue to strive and push forward in our Hamilton community. Today is that day people have gotten to know.... Very Berry Monday!!! We will be having our famous, life changing salad all week through Friday..... we will be offering our poppyseed dressing, and our spices for sale this week as well.... we are embarking on a new journey, the reopening of The Coach House. Many hours again will be in the planning and creating of it.. but till then, this is YOUR WEEK to enjoy our passion to the community.. stop by, get yours today... don't wait till we reopen The Coach House... we look forward on seeing you this week and down the road!!! What a busy week this past week..... Chicken Berry Salads flew out the door!!!!! Graduation party, celebration of life.... been a busy week..... 2 days left for service for St. Pete's and Queen of Peace kids!! We loved serving all the kiddos!!! Next Monday we will be closed observing Memorial Day, so today is the day for your Berry Salad!!!! Get your how you like it!!!!
