After a lot of heartfelt consideration, The Blacktop is officially closed. This was an unexpected decision—or maybe not so unexpected—but definitely one we never thought we would stick to.
This wasn’t planned. In fact, we spent months switching systems for expansion in other areas, obtained a liquor license, built a bar, and even printed a never-before-seen menu, all with the intention of sharing what was next with you.
But sometimes growth doesn’t look the way you imagine it will. Sometimes strength shows up as honesty, and resilience looks like knowing when to pause, reflect, and choose a different path.
The Blacktop was never just a restaurant. It was late nights and early mornings, first jobs and long shifts, familiar faces and new friendships. It was community, laughter, stress, pride, and heart—all layered into every service. We are deeply grateful to every guest who walked through our doors, every regular who made us part of their routine, and every team member who gave their time, talent, and energy to make this place what it was.
Thank you for believing in us, supporting us, and showing up again and again. This isn’t the end of the story—it’s simply a turning of the page.
