Even though we are nearly halfway through this week, I think it is worth taking a moment to reflect on how great last week was!

The Rural Resources Dinner was a great success. It is so nice to work with Chef Rushmie Purba and friends, and almost unsettling how little stress was felt in the kitchen. Only at an Incredible Farm Dinner does the trio of tractors, jazz and farm-to-table fare come together in one space!

Then we got to spend our Sunday with The Funny Farm! If you have not checked this place out, you definitely need to! Friendly people and lots of fun animals set on a beautiful country farm. What could be better?

As we shared a few days ago, October is starting to look a little crazy, just the way we like it!

Come find me at my usual spot in front of Deans hardware and Mosheim Medicine Shoppe for breakfast and lunch through Friday, then again all weekend at The Funny Farm! This time come early Saturday for Coffee with the Cows with Old Goat Coffee Roasters and grab a Sausage, Egg & Cheese while you meander through the farm!

And yes, I am still so grateful for the path God has me and my family on in this crazy venture. And I am so grateful for all of you who show your support at my window and here on Facebook, thank you!

The smoker is gonna put in the work today!

First will be hickory smoked bacon for Rural Resources' Incredible Farm Dinner. Thank you JB Farms for donating the belly, it is going to turn out great! It will be a great evening supporting a fantastic organization!

Then comes the main event. Our next Seasonal Feature is coming soon and it is something to get excited about. We are smoking then braising 24/7 Ranch Grass Fed Beef chuck roasts with Old Goat Coffee Roasters Cabra Rapida espresso, pairing it with our cheese blend, horseradish spread, and pickled red onions then serving it on grilled sourdough.

A big thank you to MC Land & Property LLC for supplying the wood. Matthew has separated and split logs for our hardwood blend, I couldn't do this without good quality logs.

Free smells available until 2 today in front of Deans hardware and Mosheim Medicine Shoppe!

Can you smell the coffee?

Since it's breakfast time and some days, the coffee is the only thing that keeps me going, I'm going to share a bit about Old Goat Coffee Roasters.

When I was looking for a coffee provider, these guys popped up pretty quickly in my Google search "coffee roaster near me".

As soon as I clicked and read through their website, I knew that this would be the one I was going with. First, their selection is great, with a roast for every palette. But what really caught my eye was Garrett's heart for East Tennessee.

A portion of every sale goes to help support addiction recovery, something that is very close to my heart as well. Generosity like this is uncommon.

And, turns out it is really good coffee too.

So far this journey has certainly been challenging, sometimes it just seems impossible. But sometimes, I get to meet really cool people like Garrett. And that has been so gratifying and encouraging for me.

So, come grab a cup of some of the best coffee around; there is nothing better to wash that breakfast burrito down with!

It's a great day for an online order! This one was delivered straight to the car; couldn't be easier!
