ABIDING IN GRIEF. 🤎
Sometimes abiding looks like being still.
Sometimes it looks like showing up when your heart is heavy, loving the people in front of you, and trusting God with everything you cannot change.
Grief has a way of reminding us just how little control we really have.
And while I would love to tell you that abiding in Christ makes the hard things easier, sometimes it doesn’t.
Sometimes the tears still come.
The questions go unanswered.
The prayers are whispered through a trembling voice.
But here’s what I’m learning…
Abiding doesn’t mean we have to be okay. It means we don’t have to walk through the not-okay without Him.
There is room for sorrow in His presence. Room for questions. Room for the kind of faith that can barely find the words to pray.
Fall Break looks a little different for our family. The juicer is quiet, the days are full, and my heart is being reminded that pouring into others doesn’t always come in a bottle.
Sometimes it’s simply being present.
And right now, that’s where God has called me.
“Abide in me, and I in you.” — John 15:4
Still rooted. Still trusting. Still abiding.
Even here. 🤎
