LifeVac USA LifeVac is a non-invasive, single patient portable airway clearance device to be used in a choking emergency.
(1)

LifeVac is a nonpowered, NON-INVASIVE, portable airway clearance device developed to bring the safest, simplest method to assist a choking victim. The vision of LifeVac came from a story that Arthur Lih, Founder and CEO of LifeVac heard of a woman devastated in a hospital following the death of her young son. The reason for his death was that a grape had gotten lodged in his windpipe and the Heimlich maneuver failed. Once he heard the story, he set out to invent an apparatus that could clear an airway of a choking victim and save lives. LifeVac is on a mission to bring this device to the public. We are located in the USA (New York),Europe (the UK), Canada, Australia, and Taiwan We strive to have LifeVac in homes, schools, disability organizations, restaurants, nursing homes, airplanes, etc. Our goal is to save as many lives as possible throughout the world.

We are delighted to share that over the past two days, we've saved 5 more lives in choking emergencies in the US and Australia. LifeVac helped save the life of a 29-year-old male at a rehab-behavioral treatment center who choked on watermelon, a 90-year-old female at a care facility who choked on pureed vegetables, a 30-year-old male who was saved by EMS when he choked on food, a 1 1/2 year old girl who choked on food, and a 16-year-old female who used LifeVac on herself when she choked on food. Together, we are making a difference in thousands of lives!

Today, we're sharing details about Save #6696! A 3-year-old boy choked on sausage, resulting in a total obstruction. "Our son was eating breakfast and started choking. I tried the Heimlich maneuver but couldn't dislodge the sausage. My husband immediately got the LifeVac out of our diaper bag, where it has lived for almost 3 years. I used it 3 times, and the sausage came up. My husband called 911 as I started using the device. They were at least 10 minutes away, and the closest hospital is 15 minutes away - but our LifeVac already had the sausage dislodged, and our son was breathing.

He wouldn’t be here without your device, and I will be forever thankful for it. This device saved my son’s life”

Today, we're sharing details about Save #6695! A 1-year-old girl choked on a LEGO, resulting in a total obstruction. "I hear our daughter coughing/gagging, and I run to her and start patting her on the back. I tried to look in her mouth and even tried to sweep my finger in her mouth to see if she had anything. It was at this time I noticed my 6-year-old had Legos sitting on my bed, which is right next to her crib. At this point, her screaming went silent, and her face was turning blue."

I placed her on the bed and did two attempts before I swept her mouth to check, and she threw up everywhere. At this point, she is screaming, and I know she can breathe." To read the full story, go to: https://lifevac.net/blogs/saved-lives/life-saved-6695
