Today is an extra special day at Little Flour. 🤍
October 1 is the Feast Day of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, known as “The Little Flower” and the inspiration behind our bakery’s name.
But there’s an even more personal story behind it.
After struggling with infertility, I prayed a novena to St. Thérèse, asking for her intercession as I prayed to become a mother. My daughter was conceived, and although her due date was September 19, she had other plans. She arrived on October 1, St. Thérèse’s feast day.
I’ve always carried so much gratitude for that little piece of our story, and it’s one of the reasons the name Little Flour means so much to me.
Today, a sweet customer surprised me with this beautiful bouquet in honor of St. Thérèse’s feast day and my daughter’s birthday. It was such a thoughtful reminder of faith, flowers, answered prayers, and how meaningful this little bakery community has become.
Happy Feast Day of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, and happiest birthday to my girl. 🌸
“The Little Flower” will always have a very special place in our hearts.
