When you walk into a restaurant, what makes the space feel inviting?

The food and service are important, of course. But the atmosphere matters, too. And a lot of that comes down to the details.

At Waxhaw Woodworking, we help local businesses create spaces that are as functional as they are welcoming.

From custom restaurant seating and tables to reception desks, conference tables, cabinetry, and commercial workspaces, we bring the same attention to detail to every project.

Whether you’re opening a new business, renovating an existing space, or looking for something custom that you just can’t find in a catalog, we’d love to be part of bringing your vision to life.

Your business deserves a space that works as hard as you do.

Let’s build something great together.

At Waxhaw Woodworking, we’re proud to be part of this community, and we love bringing our craftsmanship into more of the places where our neighbors work, meet, serve customers and build their own businesses every day.

From custom cabinetry and workstations to kitchenettes, conference tables, restaurant features and more, we can create commercial woodworking specifically for your space and the way your business operates.

Want to make it unmistakably yours? We can even incorporate your company logo directly into the piece, creating a centerpiece that represents your brand every time someone walks into the room.

Offices, restaurants, retail spaces and other local businesses… if you have an idea for your space or need some help coming up with one, let’s build something together.

Built locally. Built for local business. Built to stand out.

The holidays have a way of bringing everyone back to the same place: around the table.

Thanksgiving dinner. Christmas morning coffee. Kids, grandparents, friends, way too much food, and conversations that last long after the plates are cleared.

If you’ve always wanted a handcrafted table built specifically for your home and your family, now is the time to make it happen.

At Waxhaw Woodworking, we build custom tables meant to be used, gathered around, and eventually filled with years of memories.

So, if you want yours ready in time for the celebrations, get on our build schedule ASAP.

Meet Mickie Mae.

She doesn’t build the cabinets. She doesn’t answer the phone. And she definitely isn’t helping us clean up the shop.

But somehow, she’s still convinced she runs Waxhaw Woodworking.

And judging by that face, we’re not going to be the ones to tell her otherwise.

Every family business needs a mascot. We think ours is pretty hard to beat.

Some of our favorite builds are the ones where every detail has a reason for being there.

We recently built these two custom corner cabinets for homeowners who wanted a beautiful way to display their pottery collection on glass shelves, but there was another part of the room we needed to account for.

They love their music.

So instead of hiding their speakers behind a solid cabinet door, we incorporated speaker fabric into the lower panels, allowing the sound to come through while keeping everything looking like one cohesive piece of furniture.

Pottery up top. Music down below. And two previously unused corners now built specifically around the things these homeowners love.

That’s the fun part of custom woodworking. We’re not trying to make your home fit our cabinets. We build the cabinets to fit your home and the way you actually live in it.

Sometimes the best use of a wall isn’t hanging something on it. It’s building something specifically for it.

This custom bedroom built-in completely transforms this space, framing the bed with floor-to-ceiling shelving and nightstands while still feeling open and intentional.

And that green backdrop against the natural wood? That contrast really makes the whole piece stand out.

This is what we love about custom woodworking. We’re not trying to make a pre-built piece fit your room. We’re designing and building something around the room, the way you use it, and the look you want.

Have a wall in your home you’ve never quite known what to do with? We’d love to help you rethink it.
