🍂 Fall Break at Front Porch Bakery! 🍞🍪
It's fall break around here, and while everybody's enjoying a little time off, the ovens at Front Porch Bakery are still going!
We're taking orders for this week's fresh-baked goodies, so whether you're staying home, heading out of town, or just want something homemade without doing the baking yourself, I've got you covered! ❤️
🍞 ORDER DEADLINE: Monday, October 12, at 8 PM
🛍️ WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 14:
- Mercantile Apothecary: Fresh goodies delivered around noon.
- Front Porch Pickup: Begins at 4 PM.
🥯 A little bagel update: There won't be any bagels on the menu this week. My mixer has decided she's worked hard enough and needs a little vacation of her own! 😂 I'm waiting on her replacement, so those delicious bagels will be back as soon as we're up and running again.
In the meantime, there's still plenty of homemade goodness coming out of the kitchen!

🍞 **FRONT PORCH BAKERY IS BACK THIS WEEK!** 🍪

After taking a little break for wedding cakes and the **Holcomb Hog Out**—which was a HUGE success!—the ovens are fired back up and I’m ready for your orders! 🤍

I’ll post this week’s menu below, but here’s your friendly little reminder:

If you’ve ever told me, **“Let me know when you make those again!”** or **“Next time you make ___, I want some!”** — this is your sign. 😂

You don’t have to wait for me to decide to make it!

**If it’s something I make, you can order it.** Bread, bagels, cookies, cinnamon rolls, granola, focaccia… even a "just because cake" or a big event cake...if you’ve had something from Front Porch Bakery that you’ve been wanting again, just ask. I’m happy to add it to your order when I can!

🖤 **ORDERS CLOSE:** Monday, October 5 at 8 PM
🖤 **MERCANTILE DELIVERY:** Wednesday, October 7
🖤 **PORCH PICKUP:** Wednesday beginning at 4 PM

🥖 THIS WEEK AT THE MERCANTILE 🥖
The ovens are warmed up and we're ready for another week of Front Porch goodness!



🥯 The bagels are NEW & IMPROVED!
I've been tweaking the recipe, and these sourdough bagels are softer, chewier, with just the right little tang—and I think you're going to love them.
🍞 And the focaccia?!
Perfectly bubbly, soft, and downright delicious. That recipe is officially a keeper!

I haven't decided yet, so we'll just see what sounds good when I get in the kitchen!
NOW FOR THE IMPORTANT PART:

I've got wedding cakes that week, and both ovens will be full of layers of some of the best cakes ever. 🎂
So if you need bread, bagels, focaccia, or your Front Porch favorites, ORDER UP THIS WEEK and plan accordingly! Stock that freezer—you'll be glad you did.

🫐 The blueberry bagels got a little redo… and Y’ALL.
I’ve been tweaking my sourdough bagel recipe because sometimes change really does equal progress.
These came out soft and chewy, with that little sourdough tang, and loaded with blueberry goodness. They floated beautifully during the boil, baked up light and gorgeous, and I am SO happy with where this recipe is headed.
Sometimes you have to quit saying “but this is how I’ve always done it” and just try something new.
The Blueberry Sourdough Bagel redo is officially a WIN. 🫐

🍞 BREAD ORDERS ARE OPEN! 🍞 orders close Monday Night 8pm (9-14)

I’m taking bread orders for this week for both Front Porch Pickup and delivery to Mercantile Apothecary!

Just a little reminder about how I stock the Mercantile: most of what you see on the shelf are EXTRAS from my weekly baking. I only send a limited amount because I hate for good bread to go to waste.

So if there’s something you know you want, please place an order! Don’t count on it being available at the store when you get there — those extras can go quickly.

Order ahead and I’ll make sure yours is baked, packaged and waiting for you. 🤍
