Shangri-La ⭐

This week’s GTCR adventure took us deep into Shangri-La… and I still don’t know exactly what happened in there.

You ever walk into a restaurant and feel like you slipped through a portal?

One minute you’re in Georgia…
the next minute you’re standing inside what looks like an 1880s o***m den mixed with a time-travel gift shop… with dragons watching you from the ceiling like security cameras.

The food?
Let’s just say it surprised me in ways I didn’t expect.
No spoilers — the score is in the video.

But this one…
this one wasn’t just a meal.
It was an experience. A weird, wild, oddly charming, “did we just teleport?” experience.

Auburn, AL (“The Forgotten Blessing”)

I got ahead of myself in Auburn.
The food was hot, the setup was perfect, and I forgot to bless the meal before the first bite.

The universe — or maybe just the fryer — taught me a quick lesson.
That chicken humbled me.

🎥 Auburn, Alabama – Tiger VR Food Stop Review 🐯🍚

Pulled up near Auburn University thinking I was walking into a normal restaurant… next thing I know a robot waiter is rolling by like it’s trying to take my job, steal my fries, and enroll in engineering school at the same time.

Tiger VR has the vibe of a gamer den met a cafeteria and said, “Sure, let’s try to be the future.” Cool idea. Not totally sold on the robo-server. I didn’t sit inside… because I eat General Tso’s like a grown adult: off the tailgate, in the open air, with dignity and gravity holding the world together. 🍗💪

Food? My General Tso’s wasn’t my favorite, but hey… maybe that robot had beef with me. Could’ve been sabotage. I’ll go back and try a different dish. Fair is fair. I don’t knock a whole team because the quarterback threw one bad ball.
