Incredibly excited about the opening of Mama Chang in Fairfax today which is also International Women’s Day. The Hunan and Hubei cooking is inspired by his wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter with exceptional results. The pickled chili flounder fish pot is hands down one of the best dishes we’ve had this year.

1) Pan fried fluffy vegetable bao
2) Roast pork belly bun
3) Soy braised beef stew with potato
4) Steamed flounder with fresh chopped chili and vermicelli
5) Pickled chili flounder fish pot
6) Green pepper pickled mustard pork
7) Dry chili pork intestines
8) Chinese BBQ pigs feet
9) Caramel rice with thin pork belly
10) Salt and pepper crispy lotus sandwich

Rachel and I had an outstanding dinner at by yesterday for our 8th anniversary. What an amazing venue to celebrate a special occasion. Oh, and be sure to order all of the charred vegetables!
