A Local Directory for Tri-Cities Makers, Crafters, Artists, Restaurants & Food Trucks. 🍕🚚🎂🧵🎨

Share this with a maker you know, so they can get on the directory. 💙

The Tri-Cities is full of talented people. Makers, crafters, artists, restaurant owners, and food truck operators are all around us. Most of them just haven't been noticed yet. Too many are hidden from the very neighbors who would love to support them.

A local directory changes that. It gives every business, big or small, a place to be found and a reason for locals to spend their money close to home.

This project is personal for us. Our family bought our first home in Carter County in November. We're not just passing through. We're neighbors doing our part.

Let's make sure the Tri-Cities knows what it's got. 😎

Sadie-Lynn Schmitt and Jessica Lee Rushe were last known to be in Elizabethton, TN, but they could be in Wilmington, NC, or Texas.

Jessica is the adult, and she may use her last name, Hamilton, or the alias Sky (her oldest daughter's nickname). She is between 5' 4" and 5' 6", and her hair was last known to be blonde, black, and red.

Sadie is a juvenile, described as 5' 2" to 5' 4" tall. Her hair was last known to be brown, with yellowish-blonde chunks in the front.

The following post is from Jessica's other daughter, who is concerned about Sadie's well-being.

"Can’t believe this is the post I’m making. But if you’ve heard from my mother please let me know asap. She is off the grid with my sister who is a missing persons at this point. I’ve been on the phone with police and dcfs all week fighting for my sister, however, the police and child serves down there are extremely negligent, saying they haven’t been able to locate her since November? So a child who suffers from mental and physical illness already, hasn’t been physically seen since the beginning of November with her mother whos in active drug use…and I was told all I can do is keep looking…. From 400 miles away… I never wanted to call my mother out on social media but when you go off the grid and police and child services can’t get ahold of or find you, nor can the farher of your child, and your putting my sister in danger repeatedly, I have no other choice. My sister hasn’t attended school in months. No one’s heard her voice. I’m genuinely scared for the safety of my sister and my heart is absolutely broken this holiday season. Again if you hear ANYTHING AT ALL please let me know!

I don’t play about my siblings whether I have to take this to the highest power possible or physically come to Tennessee and find my sister and make sure she’s safe I will make it happen."

something called Tri-Cities Circle – it’s a free weekly email that rounds up local events, hidden gems, and good stories from around here. - We will launch in 2-3 weeks.

Elizabethton Parks & Recreation Announces 2024 Skate By The Doe Cancellation Due to Recent Storm Impacts

Elizabethton Parks & Recreation regrets to announce that this year’s Skate by the Doe Presented by Carter County Bank ice skating rink will not open for the 2024 season. Due to the recent effects of Hurricane Helene and its significant damage to the parks, the challenging decision was made to cancel this beloved seasonal event.
