One of nature’s most incredible journeys is happening right here in our backyard!

The fall monarch migration is underway, and Tawas Point is an amazing place to catch a glimpse of these beautiful travelers as they make their way south toward Mexico. 🌎🦋

✨ Early September is prime time to keep your eyes open!

Before you head out to explore Tawas Point, stop by Lake to Bay Grocery for a cold drink, snack, ice cream or something to take along for your adventure.

Then head out and look up, look around, and keep an eye on the trees and wildflowers! You never know when a monarch might fly by. 🦋

🌊 Lake Huron Update from Tawas Point ☀️

It's a beautiful day to get out on the water! We're seeing light winds and relatively calm conditions, making it a great day for boating, kayaking, paddleboarding, or simply enjoying the shoreline. Offshore forecasts call for south winds around 5–10 knots with waves generally 1–3 feet, with the calmest conditions closer to shore.
