The weather is looking beautiful, the outdoor play spaces are ready, and we have something happening every day this week at Café au Play!

🧸 Monday: Open Play | 9:30–12:30
🛝 Tuesday: Mini Movers | 10–1
☀️ Wednesday: Open Play | 9:30–12:30
👶 Thursday: Baby Group with Abbie | 10–1
📚 Friday: Bilingual Friday: Spanish Storytime | 9:30–12:30

Come climb, play, explore, meet other families, or just get out of the house for a while. Open Play, Mini Movers, Baby Group, and Bilingual Friday are all FREE! 💛

And don’t forget about our outdoor play areas! With slides, ride-on toys, a sandbox, and spaces for little explorers, we’re planning to soak up these late-summer mornings. ☀️

Have a baby under 1? Come spend your Thursday morning with us. 💛👶

Baby Group with Abbie is a relaxed, welcoming space created especially for babies 0–12 months and their moms.

We spread quilts on the floor for babies to wiggle, roll, play, and explore. There are comfy couches for feeding and nursing. And most importantly, there are other moms who are right there in the same season of life. ☕💛

Our wonderful host, Abbie, is a local birth worker, certified birth educator, doula, and lactation specialist. She brings a wealth of knowledge and a supportive presence, whether you have questions, want to connect with other moms, or simply need somewhere to get out of the house with your baby.

No pressure. No need to know anyone. Come late. Feed your baby. Change a diaper. Sit on the floor. Drink some coffee. Meet another mom. Stay for a little while or the whole morning.

Whether you’re preparing for your first baby or adding another little one to your family, this is a chance to ask questions, explore your options, and connect with the people who are here to support you.

New town. New baby. New season of life. Finding your people isn’t always easy. 💛

Café au Play is about so much more than giving little ones a place to play. It’s a place for parents and caregivers to get out of the house, drink a cup of coffee, have an actual conversation with another grown-up, and slowly start finding their community.

You don’t need to know anyone before you walk through the door. You don’t need a playdate. And you definitely don’t need to have it all together.

Just come as you are. We’d love to meet you. 💛

Join us tomorrow at Oxbow Park for a morning of sunshine, water play, and time with other local families! Bring your little ones, your favorite water toys, a picnic blanket, and anything you need for a morning by the river. 💛

Have a box of baby clothes you’ve been meaning to pass along? Toys your little one has outgrown? Maternity clothes you’re ready to part with? This is your sign! 💛

Next week, Café au Play is hosting a Community Donation Drive to give those items a second life and help families right here in our community.

From August 17–21, we’re collecting gently used maternity clothing, baby clothing and gear, toys, books, and other useful items for babies and young children. 🧸👶📚

Donated items will help us support local families and stock our pay-what-you-can boutique at the upcoming Birth Expo, where families can find what they need at a price that works for them.

📍 Drop-off is easy: Leave your donations behind the church by the back door to Café au Play anytime Monday through Friday. Our team will collect everything each evening.

Help us fill those empty shelves! 💛
