“Ma, I want some Giniling for dinner.” 🍚

Whether it’s a Filipino household or a Guatemalan one (like our amazing Erika’s!), Giniling—or Picadillo—is the ultimate comforting school-day staple.

Today, we served this comfort food to our community elders, homebound neighbors, and kids without summer meal programs.

We honor our dads who show up every day, often quietly, carrying responsibilities, making sacrifices, working long hours, offering guidance, and doing everything they can to create opportunities for their families.

We hold space for those whose fathers are no longer with them, those who feel the weight of absence on a day like today.

We recognize the many parent figures, mentors, coaches, friends, and community leaders who step forward with love, wisdom, and care when it’s needed most.

Along Buford Highway and in communities everywhere, we see the countless ways people sacrifice for the next generation. Their stories, resilience, and love help shape who we are and who we become.

To all who nurture, guide, and lift others up, today we celebrate you.

My heart is full.

That knock on the door represents safety, community, and basic human dignity.
For isolated seniors in Atlanta, the Meals on Wheels volunteer who delivers their meal is also a vital connection to the outside world—checking on their well-being, sharing a warm conversation, and proving that their community still cares about them.

Carlo used to volunteer at Meals on Wheels years ago.
So it’s kind of like full circle that we were part of this year’s Taste, an annual culinary fundraising event hosted by MOWA to fight senior hunger and food insecurity.

It was heartwarming to see chefs, bakers, caterers, beverage professionals all came together to raise critical funds so that can continue with meal delivery programs, safety checks, and pet food delivery for our homebound elders.

There is truly no organization in Georgia quite like Side by Side Clubhouse! 🙌🏽✨
They create a magical, life-changing space filled with community, purpose, and hope for brain injury survivors.

So when our dear friend .bryan.schroeder invited us to be part of the 2nd annual , saying YES was the easiest decision ever! 💯

We had the absolute best time over at !
Seeing so many incredible friends from the industry rally together for such a worthy cause—and watching everyone enthusiastically bid on those auction items—was pure joy.
This has officially become one of our favorite, most uplifting fundraisers of the entire year, and we already can’t wait for the next one! 💜
