Hey !! Here’s the list of our flavors this week August 13-16. We’ve got fresh batches in the case of our flavors for the month. Last week y’all loved the Peach, Sweet Corn & Blackberries, and S’Mores!

We’re thinking about switching the sorbet and nondairy options when the current batches are gone. ManilaBoy had this amazing lemonade at the Downtown Farmer’s Market recently. It may inspire the next sorbet!

As for our nondairy fans, what do you think of a coffee option??

Look at this lineup!! The strawberry basil is a beautiful flavor that was requested by the sweetest couple who is getting married this week! And they asked me to make ice cream for one of their wedding weekend events!

Next week we’ll have TWO feature flavors! First up, SALTED CANTALOUPE. We tried this last summer. It is so good!! Helps that the Hinegardner Orchard has some of the best cantaloupes!

We’re also offering a very special version of our fan favorite Cookies & Cream. For one week only SISTER SANDWICH will be available in collaboration with the Westdal Centers family, benefiting the Des Moines Public Schools Foundation! For every scoop Beth will be donating $1 to the foundation. More about this flavor next week!

Here’s our flavors for the rest of this weekend! Going back to our normal format of a set list of flavors for the month. We’ll have a FFW (Feature Flavor of the Week). This week I picked Root Beer Float because it was National Root Beer Float Day on 8/6.

August is prime peach, sweet corn and blackberry season. I picked 36 pounds at Wills Family Orchard! Their trees were loaded! We’re featuring sweet corn from Pennick’s in a Sweet Corn & Blackberries ice cream, which is perfect in a toasty homemade GF waffle cone.

Rounding out our seasonal favorites with S’mores! A toasted marshmallow ice cream with chunks of GF graham cracker crust and a rich chocolate ganache. It is a staff favorite for sure.

Giving you a lot of advanced notice. I’m taking a break!! The shop will be closed the week of August 31. I will return to the kitchen on September 6. We will reopen for regular hours on Thursday September 10. It will be the first full week break I have taken since I opened in February! Letting y’all know now, so you can plan accordingly. Thank you for understanding. Now come get some ice cream this month!!

Here’s a look at our final theme for our inaugural at Scoops by Beth! Rounding out the epic month with TROPICAL WEEK! I’ve had so much playing with island flavors. I broke down four whole pineapples, diced maraschino cherries, and worked with passion fruit for the first time! It has been a blast. Come check it out and get some tasty ice cream!

Here’s the full list for those who have been asking what else I have other than Christmas in July flavors. We don’t have much Banana Pudding left. When we run out, we’ll switch over to Blueberry Lemon Cheesecake, made with regular graham crackers this time.

I love celebrating Christmas! Mostly for the decorations and food. Come check out our Christmas in July flavors for our penultimate week of celebration for ! I made all my favorites, and I think they’re your favorites too.

Egg Nog - classic custard base with extra eggs, lots of nutmeg, a touch of cinnamon, and a dash of vanilla. I’m not a nog expert, but I think this one’s a winner.

Gingerbread - a new favorite from last year’s Pints Christmas offerings. This ice cream is beautifully spiced with cinnamon, cloves, all spice, orange zest, molasses, fresh ginger, and vanilla. I finish it off with crunchy gingersnaps.

Hot Cocoa - starting with my regular sweet cream and blending in a homemade hot cocoa mix. It tastes exactly like hot cocoa, in a frozen form!! Oh, I added some mini marshmallows. They don’t freeze and it’s the best texture.

Peppermint Stick - a perfect pink, pepperminty ice cream with plenty of pieces of peppermint stick candy.

Last winter I also discovered a pristine aluminum tree that my mom forgot was in her basement. I set it up for maybe the first time in at least 35 years. It is in impeccable shape. Come check it out and get some ice cream while you’re here!

It’s a National Ice Cream Day! Since I’ve been celebrating all month, I’ve only got a couple more trick up my sleeve today. We’re lowering the price of our waffle cones today to $1.00! Hey there Scoops by Beth Fans, aka ! The nondairy cookies & cream is back in the case. Even have a few pints of it in the freezer. I also put a raspberry sorbet out! It’s pure raspberry goodness. We’ve got fresh gluten free waffle cones, pints from our Chocolate Week flavors, and don’t forget flights! Looking forward to seeing you this weekend. Plus Sunday is ! We’ll be debuting a new coloring page, have a special deal on waffle cones and the Sunday Crunch, and maybe a drawing or two. Come get some!

It’s Pastry Week here at Scoops by Beth! I’ve brought back a couple of fan favorites for this week, plus added a new flavor. I’ve really enjoyed this exercise of crafting special themed flavors each week of . Just a reminder, I do not portion out pints from the case on demand, nor do I typically make pints of our featured flavor(s) of the week. Typically, the Scoops team will pint up what’s left of these features after their week is up. This week we’ll have pints of the Chocolate Week flavors available starting later this evening (Thursday 7/16) or when we open tomorrow (Friday 7/17). We like to focus on scoops during our open times. We think our ice cream is best fresh out of the dipping cabinet! And our space was created so folks would gather together to enjoy their scoops in house. I hope you’ll join us this weekend!

Key Lime Pie - sweet & tart key lime ice cream with gluten-free graham cracker crust pieces

Rhubarb Crisp - classic vanilla ice cream with a swirl of rhubarb and gluten-free oat crumble topping

Happy National Chocolate Day! We’re gearing up for Chocolate Week here at Scoops by Beth. Lots of chocolate on this week’s menu. It’s been fun crafting a variety of options containing some form of chocolate. Don’t worry, we’ll still have our classic chocolate option and chocolate chip cookie dough! Plus four non-chocolate flavors. Open Thursday 2-8, Friday 2-9, Saturday 12-9, and Sunday 12-8. Come get some!!
